What you'll do...
What you'll do:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead and participate in medium- to large- scale projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions and high-level design, and implementing and testing complex code changes. You will direct root cause analysis of critical business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, and possible root cause) and directing actions as designated in the plan.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in production support, including problem identification, ticket documentation, and customer and vendor relations
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related field OR 5 years of experience in software engineering or related field
- Experience programming in an object-oriented language Java with a focus on server-side components
- Proficient hands-on experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning Java Application
- Extensive experience in developing Web applications with experience with Spring/Spring Boot framework
- Experience with open-source search engines such as Solr, Lucene, or Elastic Search
- Advanced scripting skills in at least one of the following: Python, Perl, or Shell and willingness to learn new technologies
- Experience with continuous integration/deployment processes and tools such as Jenkins and Maven
- Experience with Source Code Management Tools (GitHUB, SVN, CVS)
- Having knowledge of complex software design, distributed system design, caching, design patterns, data structures and algorithms
- Familiar with public cloud technologies in Azure and GCP
- Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment
You’ll make an impact by:
- Collaborate and work with a geographically diverse team of Product, Engineering, Business, DevOps and Quality Control professionals.
- Mentor and a guide junior engineers on technical aspects of ongoing projects and initiate future projects.
- Must be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the search domain highly desirable
