This position will report toleadership, with day to day management bySr.cross-group dataprogram to secure Sony’s information assets, services, and the products that depend on them, thus, building trust with customers and stakeholders, and protecting the privacy of Sony’s customers and employees.

Responsibilities:

  • er privacy program requirements,withafocus onfuture technologies (including AI), digital transformation initiatives (includingprojects oncross-group affiliate data sharing andcustomer marketing),accountconsolidation/unifiedID, andglobalproduct privacyand supporting Japanand U.S.-based stakeholders.

  • Supports the management ofglobalprivacy projects andinitiatives related to protectingthe personal data of customers, employees,talentandother third parties.

  • support across the company andconductsprivacy impact assessmentsas a privacy subject matter expertand privacy technical expert.

  • swithteams across the companyregardingprivacy issuesand the integration ofSony’sprivacymanagement framework and privacybest practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of8-10years’demonstrable data privacy experience.This could have been in acompliance, legal,information security, information technologyor consultingcapacity.

  • hands onprivacy experience, and certificationssuch as CIPPorCIPTstrongly preferred.

  • Japanese language skillspreferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree inan appropriate field, such as information technology, law, management.

  • ,including GDPRand CCPA/CPRA.

  • draftingprivacy compliance wording and documentation for consumer products

  • providingpractical advice on privacy enhancing technologies such as privacy impact assessment for consumer products or services.
