Sr. Staff Development Engineer
Job DescriptionThe Senior Staff Development Engineer is responsible for the sustaining, design and development of patient interface devices (Masks), ensuring our Sleep & Respiratory Care (S&RC) products are safe, reliable and of the highest quality.
Your role:
- Will act as a technical leader within the Patient Interface (Masks) organization, providing expertise in the design, development, launch, documentation and sustaining activities.
- Coordinates/drives activities focused on the development of product concepts through Manufacturing and Production. Prepare and communicate project overviews and status reports to upper management.
- Prepare and communicate project overviews and project status reports/updates regarding-planning, design, estimating resources, timelines, cost estimates, feedback, and recommendations to leadership
- Lead in creating functional requirements, risk assessment, design reviews, verification & validation.
- Will drive complex problem-solving activities by evaluating options, identifying the strengths/weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems and implementing solutions.
You're the right fit if:
- You have a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Product Development, Design and SustainingEngineering for FDA regulated medical devices (highly preferred) or other highly regulated industries (Aerospace, DOD etc., including proven expertisein complex problem solving, mentoring others in technical disciplines and career development. Expertise in patient-worn medical productsis highly desired.
- You have proven experience leading new product development projects, contributing to new concepts, products, processes and the ability to balance technical solutions with business needs.
- You have proven expertise with mechanical design/modeling tools such as Pro E/Creo, Solidworks, Windchill etc...
- You have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills for interaction with associates at all levels/disciplines, as well as reporting project status & conducting design reviews.
- You have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering-Mechanical, Biomedical, or Plastics(REQUIRED). Master’s Degree and/or PMP certification (desired).

Philips Transparency Details:
- The pay range for this position in Murrysville, PA is $124,000 to $199,000.
