Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement volume forecasts and capacity plans.
  • Incorporate Operations Research methodologies - Discrete Event Simulation and Optimization in capacity planning.
  • Develop and assemble insights through data mining using SQL.
  • Identify and implement productivity improvement opportunities through work measurement.
  • Automate mundane tasks using Python and/or Microsoft VBA
  • Interact with key stakeholders to present forecasts, Capacity Plans, and convey recommendations.

Required Skills:

  • A degree, preferably a Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering and/or Operations Research.
  • 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in modeling complex systems.
  • Well-versed in
    • Discrete Event Simulation modeling using Arena or similar software.
    • Optimization modeling using Excel Solver or Gurobi and
    • Forecasting using SAS or similar software.
  • Experienced in mining data using SQL and automating tasks using Python/Microsoft VBA
  • Proficient in assembling insightful presentations using MS PowerPoint
  • Innate intellectual curiosity with strong aptitude for developing workable solutions.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to perceptively convey complex ideas concisely to key stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and/or Operations Research

  • Prior capacity or financial planning/modeling experience

  • Data mining experience using SQL/SAS-SQL

  • Proficient in Arena or similar discrete event simulation software

  • Proficient in Excel Solver and VBA

  • Experience with SAS and Python

  • Prior Banking industry analytics and modeling experience, specifically with developing capacity or resource optimization models that adhere to standards set by a risk management governing body
