Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business and legal experts to negotiate IP terms in strategic technology agreements.
  • Structure and negotiate transaction documents for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews of IP-related documents in acquisition and investment transactions.
  • Provide advisory and transactional support by assessing IP legal risks and evaluating mitigation strategies.
  • Review, interpret, and analyze IP agreements, ensuring alignment with policies and regulations.
  • Provide legal support on intellectual property matters related to Generative AI.
  • Assist with IP litigation and copyright issues.
  • Engage with personnel at all levels, including senior executives, to provide guidance on IP rights.
  • Foster innovation while protecting the firm's IP assets.
  • Collaborate with global teams to support innovative initiatives and external partnerships.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant intellectual property experience in a law firm or corporate law department.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating IP provisions in technology agreements.
  • Experience in handling IP-related due diligence and negotiating IP provisions in M&A transactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IP issues associated with Generative AI platforms.
  • Strong business judgment and strategic thinking.
  • Expertise in identifying issues, analyzing problems, and delivering solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with senior executives.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a high-performance environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build consensus in a global matrix organization.

  • In-house experience in the financial services industry or technology industry.
  • Interest in new and emerging technology solutions and applications.
