Launch innovations in nearly every commercial and defense aircraft platform Be part of a team as an Advanced Systems Engineer with the interest, aptitude, and experience associated with the design, development, integration, and qualification of Aerospace Actuation products leading Commercial and Defense programs within our Honeywell Mechanical Systems and Components product line. You will be part of a technical team who will contribute to the decision making process for technical issues. You will support prioritization of design goals and objectives, and help drive overall requirements verification and validation process throughout the development lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition
- Control architecture and design
- Physics based model development and system design
- Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
- Mechanical Systems validation & verification
- Technical problem solving/Root cause analysis
- Technical documentation – Test plans, procedures, and reports
- Analysis of test data results

2+ years of Engineering experience in Complex Aerospace Systems WE VALUE
- Strong management operating system that facilitates communication
- Leadership Skills — specifically decision making, driving results, and bias for action
- Utilizes Six Sigma and program management tools as appropriate within the Integrated Product Development Systems (IPDS) framework
- Persuasion to influence others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
- Understanding of business objectives and more importantly the ability to interact with our customers
- Business acumen – knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry
- Mechanical/Actuation Systems design and/or component controller integration
- Experience with systems requirement flow down
- Experience with DOORs
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience developing motor driven actuation systems
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
