As a Senior Petroleum Engineer in Global Corporate Bank Risk you will assist on complex oil and gas engineering issues. Utilizing your deep understanding and experience as a Reservoir Engineer, you will play an integral part in JPMorganChase’s financial solutions driving the future of energy, power and renewable industries.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct independent, comprehensive oil and gas reserve and economic evaluations for both prospective and existing customer loan requests and borrowing base reviews in accordance with the bank’s lending and pricing policies
• Document evaluation results in memorandums that clearly summarize the maximum recommended loan value, estimated economics, key assumptions, downside risks and quality associated with the specific oil and gas properties
• Work in partnership with Bankers, Underwriters and Engineering Technicians
• Interacts directly with customer’s engineers and C-suite
• Assists bankers in developing and maintaining business relationships

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• At least 10 years of experience in estimating oil and gas reserves and running economics
• At least of 5 years of experience at an oil and gas operating company
• Understands the PRMS designations of reserves and how to properly classify oil and gas reserves into their respective deterministic reserve categories
• Proficient using standard oil and economic software, such as Aries and/or PHDWin
• Proficient in the use of Excel modeling
• Proficient in technical writing
• B.S. Degree in related Engineering field

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience as a Reservoir Engineer in a large bank
• Experience advising C-suite executives
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
• Proven ability to work under minimal supervision
