Your Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Payroll operation teams, ensuring a high level of service delivery and team cohesion. Act as a counselor and the primary contact for team members.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with the German Payroll engagement teams to drive initiatives that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Integration: Work closely with the GDS hub teams to ensure seamless integration with the German operations, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Delivery Oversight: Review and ensure the accuracy of payroll processing services, including Build to Gross and Gross to Net, Pay processing, Post payroll validation, T&A management, and reporting, all while complying with relevant legislation.
  • Training and Development: Organize training sessions and develop a knowledge management framework to enhance team capabilities and ensure alignment with German standards.
  • Engagement Staffing: Strategically staff engagements to meet client needs and operational demands, ensuring the right expertise is available.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and manage internal SLAs and KPIs, providing regular updates to stakeholders and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Proven experience in handling end-to-end German payroll processing, high-volume payroll, and managing multiple client payrolls.
  • Strong understanding of German payroll compliance, rules, and legislation in a multi-country environment.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Experience in developing cross-functional teams and leading experienced professionals.
  • Knowledge of technology enablers and trends around data modeling, Cloud architecture, Robotics (RPA), and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Strong numeracy skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Hands-on experience with ERPs like SAP, Oracle, or Workday.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

  • A graduate degree with 7-10 years of experience in German Payroll.
  • A Payroll certification is an advantage.
  • Project Management knowledge and experience.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English and German, both orally and in writing.
