As an Account Opening Lead in the Client Operations organization you will be responsible for a wide variety of functions which include submitting client updates, updating back end systems, and overseeing and reconciling the team's daily work. You will work closely with several internal business groups including the Client Onboarding Maintenance (COB), Client Services, Investors, Investment Assistants and Supervisory Managers. Your role requires a high degree of discipline, a strong attention to detail and a strong control mindset. You will also serve as the liaison for issue resolution and research relating to account information queries, and providing feedback to the team on performance and quality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret client-executed documentation
- Research client documentation for accurate suitability (FINRA Rule 2111)
- Take ownership to diligently maintain policies and procedures
- Serve as the first line of defense for escalations, resolving issues with business partners
- Represent your team as a subject matter expert (SME)
- Run reports and review metrics, taking actions as needed
- Promote and cultivate a controls environment to mitigate risk
- Communicate with business partners/clients, providing coaching on persistent issues
- Investigate opportunities to reduce costs and automate processes
- Be responsible for talent recruitment, training, and development
- Ensure completion of mandatory training by employees before deadlines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- At least 3 years of experience with in a financial services, operational or compliance fields
- Documentation analysis experience preferred
