Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience developing deep learning systems: training (and fine tuning) models, designing model architectures, researching/experimenting with new ideas, defining and creating metrics, building datasets and performing error triages.
  • Deep understanding of Generative AI techniques/literature and proven track record of training (or deploying) LLMs/MLLMs to solve complex problems.
  • Proficiency in Python and one of the deep learning frameworks (such as PyTorch, JAX, or Tensorflow).
  • Excellent communication: strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with building AI agents, LLMs for tool use, AudioLLMs and Multimodal-LLMs.
  • Experience creating and maintaining large scale, robust machine learning systems and infrastructure for data, modeling and metrics for use in multi-person team setting.
  • Experience developing, shipping and improving machine learning models in a production environment or a solid publication record in top-tier conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ICRA etc.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
