Role Purpose
You’ll be the go-to HR partner for employees and managers in NYC - partnering on recruitment and leading onboarding, guiding teams through day-to-day people matters, ensuring compliance and benefits are in order, and championing learning, growth, and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers, internal recruitment, and agencies to attract top talent.
- Full-cycle recruitment - from defining roles and engaging candidates through to offers and pre-employment compliance.
- Deliver a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience from day one through the first 90 days.
- Support internal mobility and referral processes to keep opportunities fair and transparent.
Employee Relations
- Coach and support managers to handle performance, conduct, absence, and employee relations issues confidently and fairly.
- Advise employees on policies, benefits, and wellbeing resources.
- Support organizational change in ways that keep people informed and engaged.
- Be a central point of contact for remote US employees, driving connection and engagement.
Compensation & Benefits
- Maintain competitive and compliant pay and benefits through regular benchmarking.
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate payroll and benefits administration.
- Be the first point of contact for employee questions on benefits, PTO, and company policies.
Learning & Development
- Identify development needs and collaborate with managers to address them.
- Coordinate compliance and skills training, and support capability-building initiatives.
- Promote growth through coaching, mentoring, and development programs.
- Lead global feedback cycles across the NYC office.
Engagement, Culture & Communication
- Partner with the Employee Care Specialist on communication and engagement activities to keep the NYC team connected and informed.
- Champion inclusion, belonging, and a strong sense of team culture.
Compliance & HR Ops
- Act as the local HR partner, ensuring compliance with US federal and NYC labor laws.
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate employee records and HR data.
- Support HR planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Partner with Finance on payroll, PTO tracking, and benefits management.

Requirements- Proven experience as an HR generalist (HRBP or HR Manager) in a stand-alone role. It would be desirable if you had experience working with sales teams.
- Hands-on experience managing end-to-end recruitment for sales roles including sourcing great talent, conducting interviews, coordinating, negotiating offers, and guiding candidates through a smooth, engaging onboarding experience with a high-touch candidate experience.
- Working knowledge of U.S. employment law and NYC labor regulations (compliance, payroll, benefits, and employee relations).
- Hands-on experience with compensation, benefits administration, ATS and HRIS systems
- Genuine interest in employee engagement, culture, and wellbeing, with a people-first approach.
This position has a base salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 on a 6-month fixed term contract. This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York, New York.
