Reporting to the
What a typical day looks like:
- Lead group of workers to achieve Department and Company goal.
- Report all abnormalities detected.
- Keep records filed orderly and maintained at all times.
- Maintain QA areas to be auditable at all times for ISO and customer compliance.
- Ensure only certified QA inspectors work on product specifications and requirements.
- Ensure all shipment buy off activities are conducted effectively and within the stipulated requirements.
- Review some business statistics.
- Determine and document any areas that may need improvement.
- Inspect and sample the entire manufacturing process.
- Review the current policies and improvise plans to improve upon the existing quality standards.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness of the modifications made.
- Ensure that all procedures within the company conform to health and safety regulations, financial policies and legislation such as equal opportunity.
- Help the manager to educate the sales and marketing departments regarding the specific requirements of clients.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, technical training, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of related experience in a quality lead role
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Background in the manufacturing industry
- Experience with CAPA and root cause analysis
- Manage schedules for up to 12 people
- Monitoring the line for quality related issues
- Experience with Microsoft office /excel
- Nice to have: Agile, Flex Flow, Baan
