Key job responsibilities
The Automation & Retrofit Readiness Lead position will provide central leadership and oversight to ensure the successful implementation of these mission-critical technology upgrades. Serving as the single point of contact across multiple Amazon teams and external partners, such as World Wide Design Engineering (WWDE), Construction, Hardware Development, Fulfillment Technology & Robotics (FTR) Business Strategy Concepts (BSC), and Ops Engineering. This role will engage stakeholders in long-lead milestone completion, collaborate on initial architectural design, preconstruction planning, and construction sourcing. With their deep understanding of the intricacies involved in these complex, cross-functional projects, they will play a pivotal role in unlocking the successful deployment execution through requirements and risk mitigation planning, and integrated project management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 10+ years of experience in hardware integration and development across full product life cycles from NPI to General Availability (GA)
- Demonstrated ability to utilize a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and exhibit proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking
- Ability to develop Gantt Charts; Identifying task dependencies, buffer, and critical path
- Experience developing and executing against project schedules
- Experience working in a fast-paced matrixed technical organization
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40%


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
