Description
As a Release Manager, you are both a technical and functional expert in the area of releases. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering teams, project managers and quality teams to facilitate smooth execution of releases. You will be responsible for managing release risks and challenges and improving release processes while working towards successful outcomes. If you love work that requires social intelligence, critical thinking, and creative problem solving, we’d love to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:- Lead multiple cross-functional releases in parallel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Self-starter with 5+ years of strong experience in release management with primary focus on software development
- Solid project management, organizational skills, technical competence, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow through deadlines/projects simultaneously under minimal supervision
- Proven track record to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across various business units.
- Ability to look for process improvents and automation in the area of release management.
- Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Effective analytical, problem-solving and facilitation skills coupled with good business insight.
- Outstanding presentation, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization including external partners.
- Effective multitasking skill to manage multiple releases concurrently that are in different states.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience is highly desirable.
- Exposure to CI/CD methodology and practices would be a plus.
- Fundamental understanding of project management practices.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
