Job responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
- Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
- Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
- Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
- Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
- Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
- Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Lean Manufacturing or Supply Chain concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
- Strong understanding of Lean methodologies
- Experience with root cause analysis/issue resolution in order to develop action plans and manage project improvements with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneous
- Ability to identify improvement areas and support conversation with recommendations to drive improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to develop and deliver executive level summaries
- Ability to establish and build strong relationships and solve difficult and complex issues across cross-functional teams
- A true team player with a “no job too small” attitude while at the same time being able to think strategically
- Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
- Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product
