EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Generate new opportunities, action existing opportunities sourced from sales teams, and develop relationships in identified accounts to progress opportunities and drive sales
- Contact identified decision-makers to qualify potential business opportunities
- Engage with senior executives at customers to drive sales of SAP DSC solutions for both on-premise & cloud deployments
- Inspire business leaders to expand their thinking on broader end-to-end business processes that make up the span of control across the supply chain
- Provide thought leadership in problem solving customer challenges, for example by articulating unique application of SAP Industry Cloud and Business Network as differentiators
- Meet regularly with SAP sales management to drive development of new business strategies based on market analysis & current trends in Digital Supply Chain
- Business plan development, documentation, and communication
- Present SAP DSC solutions capabilities, value proposition, key differentiators at senior executive levels and large audiences
- Make use of best practices to create repeatable processes and content
- Support stand-alone sales opportunities for SAP DSC solutions to a ‘select’ stage
Work Experience, Skills & Competencies
- 5+ years of professional experience with large, multi-national software/IT organizations and with a demonstrated expertise in DSC solutions
- Experience with business development, relationship building, opportunity discovery/development, opportunity qualification, pipeline development by working with solutions team
- Self-starter, "Execution spirit" and entrepreneurial nature with a passion for new products and solutions; high level of energy and self-motivated
- Strong organizational talents and ability to work under pressure and in new environments
- Exceptional organizational, communication and presentation skills, and ability to express nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely to meet goals and set priorities
- Strong business acumen
- Strong teamwork skills: ability to work across multiple organizations to ensure alignment to ultimately win the deal
- Ability to leverage experience working with line of business leaders and stakeholders to successfully contact and build rapport based on domain knowledge and demonstrated business acumen
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field of study
- Fluency in English, any other language an asset
