Develop category strategies leveraging best-in-class suppliers, processes, and products to enable a competitive advantage.
Partner with SBG sourcing partners and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and support of category strategy creation and execution.
Execute the annual operating plan through year-over-year improvements in productivity, working capital, quality, delivery, and supply continuity; Identify and select approved suppliers capable of providing solutions that meet established business requirements and follow the global commodity strategies.
Facilitate engagement across all SBG’s to drive a singular approach to supplier management in assigned commodity space.
Develop and publish key market intelligence including commodities, industry trends, benchmarks, etc., to stakeholders.
Consolidate fragmented global spend, reduce the use of non-strategic suppliers, and move the procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle of a solution to bring greater value to Honeywell.
Negotiate and execute supply agreements with strategic suppliers to maximize benefit to Honeywell.
Build strong technical solutions including new technology, VA/VE, CE product and cost improvements with supply base.
Support the refresh of the machined parts strategy, footprint, sourcing and Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
Drive world-class performance from supply base.
Work with SBG sourcing and procurement teams to achieve lowest total cost, continuous quality improvement, and on-time delivery.
Work with global commodity leaders to assure a coordinated commodity strategy exists across the enterprise around the world; Ensure global policy compliance.
Leverage spend (volume) across Honeywell to drive year-over-year savings.
Drive supplier rationalization to preferred / best-in-class suppliers, lead supplier business reviews and manage supplier relationship.
Optimize working capital for the organization; Improve operational service levels across all SBG’s.
YOU MUST HAVE
8+ years of work experience in strategic sourcing & leading successful supplier negotiations.
Subject Matter Expert in the Machining category.
WE VALUE
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain.
10+ years of experience in sourcing metal components and/or castings/machined components.
CPIM/CSCP certification; Six Sigma / PMP preferred.
Experience working in a matrix organization.
