SUMMERY OF ROLE/JOB DESCRIPTION

Following the launch of our digital bank, Chase UK, we are embarking on a finance data transformation project to support the International Consumer Business (ICB). This will culminate in the development of a finance data platform to assist the Finance function in the execution of its business critical control responsibilities as well as supporting business decision making with modern finance analytics and insights. The project will deliver end to end data capabilities for the Finance function and other relevant stakeholders covering data modelling, reporting, dashboarding and the development of any bespoke tooling required.

In this role, your primary focus will be on implementing the ICB Finance integrated planning roadmap in Anaplan, which involves designing and developing planning models and ensuring seamless integration with other ICB Finance Transformation solutions and firm-wide tools. Collaborating closely with finance and business management teams, finance transformation analysts, data engineers, and the firm-wide Anaplan Center of Excellence, you will contribute to building the target state planning ecosystem for ICB Finance. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to utilize Google Looker and other modern data tools to deliver both tactical and strategic solutions to finance data challenges.

Job responsibilities:

  • Analyze and understand existing forecasting processes and methodologies, translating them into Anaplan solutions that drive consistency and accuracy in generating financial projections, ensuring an informed decision-making process and organizational agility.
  • Build and maintain Anaplan models as a part of the ICB Finance integrated planning roadmap, including requirements gathering, models design and documentation, development, end-user testing, and release management.
  • Collaborate with the firm-wide Anaplan Center of Excellence and data engineers on the implementation of a fully integrated planning ecosystem, including seamless integration between Anaplan models, ICB data sources, and firm-wide solutions.
  • Work closely with finance stakeholders to proactively identify and recommend enhancement opportunities in planning processes and forecasting methodologies.
  • Collaborate in defining the Anaplan operating model for the ICB Finance function, including establishing roles and responsibilities, models governance, and support from firm-wide transformation teams.
  • Ensure adherence to Anaplan best practices, intelligent solutions governance, and internal controls at all times

Required qualifications:

  • Expertise in financial planning and/or modeling, including budgeting and stress testing methodologies
  • Expertise in data analytics and visualization, with a strong understanding of UX/UI and design best practices
  • Commercial acumen and expertise in retail banking products including current accounts, credit cards, insurance and mortgages

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in research with at least 6 years of drug development experience are required. Alternative drug development experience will be considered.
  • Prior Oncology Drug Development experience required
  • Global oncology trial experience and Health Authority experience are highly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic ability
  • Ability to work independently and to multi-task large projects or compounds, ability to change pace and tasks as needed, and to work in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of good clinical practice, FDA and EMEA/CHMP regulations, and guidelines

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to utilize Google Looker and other modern data tools to deliver both tactical and strategic solutions to finance data challenges.

Job responsibilities:

  • Analyze and understand existing forecasting processes and methodologies, translating them into Anaplan solutions that drive consistency and accuracy in generating financial projections, ensuring an informed decision-making process and organizational agility.
  • Build and maintain Anaplan models as a part of the ICB Finance integrated planning roadmap, including requirements gathering, models design and documentation, development, end-user testing, and release management.
  • Collaborate with the firm-wide Anaplan Center of Excellence and data engineers on the implementation of a fully integrated planning ecosystem, including seamless integration between Anaplan models, ICB data sources, and firm-wide solutions.
  • Work closely with finance stakeholders to proactively identify and recommend enhancement opportunities in planning processes and forecasting methodologies.
  • Collaborate in defining the Anaplan operating model for the ICB Finance function, including establishing roles and responsibilities, models governance, and support from firm-wide transformation teams.
  • Ensure adherence to Anaplan best practices, intelligent solutions governance, and internal controls at all times

Required qualifications:

  • Expertise in financial planning and/or modeling, including budgeting and stress testing methodologies
  • Expertise in data analytics and visualization, with a strong understanding of UX/UI and design best practices
  • Commercial acumen and expertise in retail banking products including current accounts, credit cards, insurance and mortgages
  • Passionate about innovation, problem solving with focus on user-centric design and a keen eye for visual aesthetics
  • Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional agile teams as well as independently
  • Skilled in influencing, educating and sharing technical and design knowledge with others
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong self-starter and highly self-motivated, driving projects forward
  • Experience working on large scale digital transformation projects, ideally in Finance / FinTech

Preferred qualifications:

  • An Anaplan Model Builder certificate (or higher) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant Anaplan experience is preferred.
  • Experience with any business intelligence, visualization, or automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Looker) is highly desirable.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in data analytics or computer science related fields is preferred. Accounting or finance related fields will also be considered.
