Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for shifts measures of performance (KPI’s) - strives to achieve high utilization, high yield and low cost of quality; prepares, plans and schedules in conjunction with the planner and value stream lead (VSL).
  • Plan/ direct group decision process for control/development. Progress any quality actions for non-conformances in a timely manner.
  • Leads and supports the production teams to achieve the manufacturing goals.
  • Plan/ coordinate training, development and performance reviews of technicians/operators.
  • Responsibility for Safety and Security of personnel in the production area. Conducts Line Safety Walkabout each shift
  • Responsibility for Safety and Security of machines, equipment, and facilities of the production area.
  • Uses and understands statistical process control; monitors the quality of the product through SPC.
  • Uses and understands basic computer tools/programs for analysing results and/or compiling reports.
  • Responsible for making quality or processing/ automation / tooling related decisions on the production floor and co-ordination of same with the relevant engineers.
  • Lead and manage a high performing team/select no. of employees to deliver the defined business goals & objectives.
  • Identification and development of talent to include performance management and succession planning (in the West Talent Gateway).
  • Coaching / development of the employees using development and retention plans as appropriate.
  • Monitor / analyse / communicate measures of performance to the group/plant.
  • Co-ordinate communications with other production areas.
  • Plan / communicate production schedule, quality requirements etc.
  • Expedite materials, equipment, and resources as required in conjunction with the planner and VSL
  • Coordinate the implementation of product / process / automation changes with the relevant engineer.
  • 6-S standards in production areas are to the required standards
  • Delegate tasks to technicians/operators, having ensured that adequate training is provided.
  • Develop and maintain production methods/procedures and all supporting documentation to meet the requirements of ISO9001/ ISO 13485 / ISO 14001.
  • Act in accordance with the company’s Guiding Principles and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct.
  • Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training and regulations.
  • Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures and corporate policies.
  • Perform additional duties at the request of the direct supervisor.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ideally shouldpossess a Plastic or mechanical engineering qualification, or have relevant industrial experience.
  • Must have 5+ years people management experience with the ability to develop people and identify talent.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • in the injection moulding industry desirable.
  • Should have a working knowledge of robots/automation systems and moulding ancillary equipment.
  • Must be self-motivated, focused, and able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of employees.
  • Must have high standards of Health and Safety and ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Site Systems.
  • Must be able to work in conjunction with Quality to ensure Product Quality and compliance with the Quality systems at all times.

Working as part of the Planning & Logistics team the Logistics Operator will report directly to the Production Group Leader. The role will carry responsibility for supporting production requirements across all business units with respect to the management and coordination of raw materials, finished products and supporting documentation in line with documentation procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must have excellent Housekeeping and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) standards and a high attention to detail.
  • Must have a minimum of 1-2 year’s previous experience of working in warehousing within a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Must understand the principles of JIT manufacturing, stock turns, inventory control, FIFO (First In First Out), ERP (Enterprise Requirements Planning) requirements and general warehousing duties within a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative as well as in teams and be able to prioritize and organize tasks.
  • Must possess good communication skills both oral and written and be able to liaise with staff at all levels within the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively with the PGL’s to support production requirements across all Business Units.
  • Responsible for operating ‘counterbalance’ and ‘bendi’ forklifts in addition to the electric pallet truck in line with safety requirements.
  • Assist the Warehouse manager with receiving, inspecting and locating of raw materials, tools, gauges and equipment in line with documented procedures.
  • Responsible for completion, filing and maintenance of all relevant documentation.
  • Assist the Warehouse manager with the control and issue of raw materials to production in line with requirements ensuring that all stock is used on ‘First In First Out’ (FIFO) basis.
  • Assist with the preparation and identification of finished goods for shipment/transfer to TGE logistics partner in line with TGE and customer requirements.
  • Responsible for preparation of delivery documentation (packing list, pallet labels etc), and shipment loading.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods inventory as required.
  • Responsible for constantly maintaining EH&S and housekeeping to the highest standards in all areas designated as the responsibility of the Warehouse in accordance with cGMP and company policy/customer requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining the ERP system integrity by ensuring transaction accuracy and issuing agreed reports to the Warehouse Manager / PGL on each shift.
  • Responsible for ensuring the correct material is being used in the correct location/work centre for every shift and fix/report discrepancies where applicable.
  • Responsible for the seamless hand over of all related reports and information to the relevant Production Group Leader/Warehouse Manager and to colleagues working on opposite shifts.
  • Responsible for ensuring correct material balances are returned to the warehouse at all times with accurate reporting through TGE procedures, and driving prompt resolution of discrepancies.
  • Responsible for ensuring correct segregation and clear identification of all waste materials. This includes ensuring that each unit containing regrind is clearly identified and the weigh recorded in accordance with TGE procedures & policies and reporting breaches where evident.
  • Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training and regulations.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks and conducts test procedures in regard to the quality process, ensuring that the pre-determined high standards of quality are achieved and maintained. Reporting directly to the Senior Quality Engineer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and approval of metrology reports, where appropriate, for batch release and validation purposes
  • New product validation, analysis and reporting.
  • Quality support to Engineering and Production Departments.
  • Establish and maintain documentation in line with West Dublin and West Pharmaceutical Services Quality Systems.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers on new and existing projects.
  • Receiving and inspection of incoming goods and materials
  • Ensure that all parts/ materials, which require incoming inspection, conform to all requirements and applicable drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain good communications both internally and externally.
  • Ensures that all metrology equipment is correctly calibrated.
  • Assists shift personnel with quality issues and/or measurement techniques.
  • Assists in problem resolution with customers.
  • Makes periodic audits as requested and completes necessary documentation.
  • Archives quality records, samples and log procedures.
  • Makes periodic clean-out of records and samples exceeding minimum retention requirements as per West procedures.
  • Batch paperwork review and final decision to release product for shipment

  • Must have knowledge of EU-GMP

  • Ideally have a third level qualification in Quality/Mechanical/Plastic Engineering and/or have relevant industrial experience in a high volume injection-moulding environment.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical sampling of product
  • Understanding of injection moulding processes.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001/ ISO 13485 and FDA Code of Regulations CFR part 820 preferred.

  • Experience with SAP - S4 Hana preferred
  • People management experience or demonstrated ability to lead and coach others preferred

  • Expedite materials, equipment, and resources as required in conjunction with the planner and VSL
  • Coordinate the implementation of product / process / automation changes with the relevant engineer.
  • 6-S standards in production areas are to the required standards
  • Delegate tasks to technicians/operators, having ensured that adequate training is provided.
  • Develop and maintain production methods/procedures and all supporting documentation to meet the requirements of ISO9001/ ISO 13485 / ISO 14001.
  • Act in accordance with the company’s Guiding Principles and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct.
  • Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training and regulations.
  • Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures and corporate policies.
  • Perform additional duties at the request of the direct supervisor.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ideally shouldpossess a Plastic or mechanical engineering qualification, or have relevant industrial experience.
  • Must have 5+ years people management experience with the ability to develop people and identify talent.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • in the injection moulding industry desirable.
  • Should have a working knowledge of robots/automation systems and moulding ancillary equipment.
  • Must be self-motivated, focused, and able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of employees.
  • Must have high standards of Health and Safety and ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Site Systems.
  • Must be able to work in conjunction with Quality to ensure Product Quality and compliance with the Quality systems at all times.
  • Must possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have good numerate ability and be able to manage a budget.
  • Should be computer literate.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks for self and others.
  • Travel Requirements:No travel required.


  • Physical Requirements: must be able to be exert up to 56lbs / 25kg of force occasionally,or up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs/4kgs of force constantly to move objectsand / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to life, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Mental Requirements: must be able to communicate with other members of the team and other departments, be a quick decision maker and have capacity to interpret data efficiently and effectively. Must have a high level of personal resilience to accommodate changing business circumstances and needs. Ability to work under pressure. Must be confident with public speaking. Must be able to communicate, manage and develop a large, diverse, team of operators.
