Skills and knowledge you should possess:

  • Product management experience: 5+ years of PM experience in a B2B SaaS company, leading teams of engineers and designers in building impactful products.
  • Strategic thinking: Experience building long-term vision and roadmaps based on user/business needs and complexity. Ability to balance near-term impact, long-term investment, and tech debt.
  • Customer empathy: Understanding of the benefits and tradeoffs of using different feedback channels. Ability to apply tools such as personas or JTBD where needed.
  • Data fluency: Ability to formulate business questions and collect relevant data to inform roadmap prioritization. Can define sensible metrics and articulate how project outcomes tie to those metrics.

Communication and influence: Ability to build support for initiatives with their immediate team, cross-org stakeholders, other PMs, and executives.

Vimeo is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director to lead our Payments team with a deep technical background. As the Head of Payments, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our payment operations, ensuring seamless and secure transactions for our global user base. You will play a critical role in driving our payment strategy, optimizing our payment infrastructure, and managing key relationships with payment processors and other partners.

What you will do:

  • Strategic Leadership & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive global payment strategy and roadmap, aligning with business objectives and ensuring compliance with relevant international regulations (i.e. PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.). Drive strategic decision-making using data analysis and metrics to identify trends, track performance, enhance transaction success rates, optimize cost-effectiveness, minimize chargebacks, increase customer satisfaction, and improve operational efficiency. Spearhead initiatives to expand payment solutions into new markets.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of payment operations, including payment processing, fraud prevention, chargeback management, and reconciliation. Optimize payment infrastructure to achieve high authorization rates, minimize transaction failures, and ensure the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of robust, resilient, scalable, reliable, and secure payment solutions.
  • Technical Leadership & Management: Lead and manage a high-performing team of payments professionals, including highly technical Payments Architects, Engineers, and Product Managers. Provide technical leadership and guidance, particularly for back-end applications. Optimize the balance of modernization and innovation initiatives with technical debt remediation. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Relationship & Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with payment processors, gateways, banks, and financial institutions, negotiating terms and managing contracts to secure advantageous arrangements.
  • Risk & Compliance: Develop and implement risk management frameworks to mitigate fraud and ensure compliance with industry standards and all relevant payment regulations.
  • Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to align payment strategies with business objectives and customer needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless integration of payment solutions. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in the payment space, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, computer science, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in payment operations and management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role, including managing engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of the global payment landscape, including payment processing, fraud prevention, chargeback management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong technical background with experience in software development, particularly in the design and development of backend APIs, 3rd party integrations, database architecture, and system design supporting customer-facing applications..
  • Strong experience managing relationships with payment processors, gateways, and other payment partners.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team, including technical engineering teams.
  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Experience with a Saas based publicly traded company is a must with video streaming or online content industry a plus.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of payment and engineering professionals.

Base Salary Range:

  • NYC Metro, Bay Area, Seattle, & Los Angeles: $234,000 - $321,000
  • All other US cities outside above metro areas: $210,600 - $288,900

  • Maintain CRM data and pipeline accuracy within Salesforce
  • Lead and interact with cross-functional colleagues to generate pipeline and execute campaigns in order to meet goals and objectives

Skills and knowledge you possess:

  • 8+ years experience selling enterprise SaaS solutions and innovative technologies into large organizations with evidence of prior success.
  • Knowledge of online video, livestreaming, advertising, marketing analytics, and technology companies
  • Knowledge of various video buying personas such as Marketing, Corporate Communications, Learning & Development and HR
  • Mastery and consistent execution of MEDDPICC sales methodology
  • Strong belief in a customer-centric selling philosophy and consultative approach
  • Proven experience introducing new concepts and building excellent client relationships at C-level within large enterprise organizations
  • Account planning and territory management expertise
  • Strong verbal and written communication, time management, organizational as well as presentation skills
