

Responsible and accountable for overall risk management of Indonesia operations of BANA Jakarta as the Country Risk Manager including having accountability for credit risk portfolio and Country risk governance. Proactively manage/ monitor Corporate and Financial Institutions portfolio to ensure portfolio stability and corrective credit actions taken. Communicate / escalate key issues on Indonesia Corporate and Financial Institutions portfolio, advise / recommend / approve credit actions on an ongoing basis.
Engage and work closely with Enterprise Credit in monitoring the portfolio and challenge (wherever appropriate) to provide an effective second line of defense. Review credit booked in BANA Jakarta as proposed by Enterprise Credit Officer, and make recommendations / provide final approval. Communicate / escalate key issues on Indonesia FI & Corporate portfolios, advise / recommend credit actions to bank’s senior risk officers on an ongoing basis
Establishing specific local credit underwriting policies, as necessary. Review and approve any amendment in credit risk management practices and risk limits of the branch together with BANA Jakarta’s Local Management Team.
Leading and participating in BANA Jakarta Local Management Team, Indonesia Integrated Governance Committee meetings and other governance routines as required. Ensure regulatory reporting on risk management is timely, accurate and complete.
Monitoring (as applicable) of the risk position relative to the risk limit for early risk detection and warning, alongside the likelihood of violation against the risk limit.
Coordination with local / regional support groups (ops, treasury, finance middle / back offices, credit admin etc) as necessary, as part of the risk management process.
Interface with central bank / financial market regulators as bank’s local country risk officer; communicate with internal compliance function to help the Bank complies with local banking regulations; provide input on local regulatory reports.
Regular discussion with other Risk functions to ensure coverage of risk issues within Indonesia and escalate (as appropriate) to relevant Local Management Committees and SE Asia Country Risk Manager to discuss outstanding regulatory / country risk issues.
Manage Risk governance and work with the CEO Jakarta to ensure risk issues are escalated in a timely manner and actions taken appropriately working along with the management team.
Prepare, review and approve risk reports required as part of the risk monitoring and governance process.
Oversee the Front Line Units’ credit risk management processes in accordance with local regulators’ as well as the Bank’s and the Branch’s requirements. Cooperate with the Front Line Units in full identification and monitoring incurred risks, as well as screening and recommending new / existing client exposures, consistent with the Bank and BANA Jakarta’s risk policies.
Work with BANA Jakarta’s Finance team to review and finalize debt classifications based on local regulations.
Interface with internal, and external Audit teams with respect to Risk matters

Minimum 7-10 years of experience with relevant background. Eligible candidate to have prior experience (with preferably a US / European bank) in managing / underwriting and approving Corporate / FI credit risk
Knowledge of the Indonesian regulatory environment is a preference
Satisfactory working knowledge of accounting, and banking products such as Treasury Management, Derivatives, Swaps, Trade Finance, Loan products.
