The EU Operations Cluster head is accountable to lead and manage all operations activities in the cluster, providing best in class quality products, high service level, with a competitive cost structure.

  • Leads the EU operations cluster
  • Significantly influences business strategy
  • Develops strategic plans and approves operational plans driving toward the achievement of company business and financial goals
  • Takes action guided by the general direction set by Head of operations and TGO OLT.
  • Decisions have a direct impact on business performance
  • May represent the corporation externally concerning matters of critical interest and significance
Essential Areas of Responsibility
  • Lead the development and implementation of Teva Operations Strategy.
  • Develop and manage the interface between the Operations, Markets, TGO supply chain systems and the distribution units.
  • Secure appropriate infrastructure, processes and systems to support all Operations activities in the cluster.
  • Determine projects strategy and risk management with all stakeholders based on market requirements and resources.
  • Facilitate, monitor and implement best practices and State-of- the-Art technologies and way-of-workings, including successful TLMS implementation in all cluster sites.
  • Develop and lead optimization and efficiency processes. Develop KPI's and benchmark tools to measure best practices.
  • Manage capital expenditures and investment in new or existent Operations systems, ensuring the sites capital investment and operational plans are aligned to cGMP and Safety standards and aligned with the network strategy.
  • Manage globally all relationships and interface with internal stakeholders and external partners/vendors.
  • Provide Leadership to sustain a customer focused, team-based organization.
  • Coach and support the development of leadership, teamwork and organizational capabilities at all levels.
  • Ensure the development of succession plans for key operations positions.
  • Provide coaching, feedback and development opportunities for reports via the performance management process.
  • Plan, manage and deliver work plan resources (headcount, expense and capital) and planned capabilities to meet existing and future business needs.
  • Lead and develop continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure delivery of the work plan submissions, on time and to communicate progress with all stake holders.
  • Assume full accountability for driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with global standards and relevant regulations and legislations.
Your experience and qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • BS Degree in Science, Management, or Related Field. Advanced degree desired (Master Studies/MBA)
  • Requires a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in a management capacity

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Comprehensive experience working in multiple plants, within different regions and with different technologies, if possible
  • Industry networking experience – membership in trade associations – leverage thought leadership and next practices within Teva environment
  • Expert level knowledge and experience with OPEX behaviors, principles and tools required, with a demonstrated successful OPEX transformational leadership
  • Excellent problem solver and ability to generate innovative solutions to broad range of issues; sees bigger picture and looks to the longer term
  • Outstanding people leadership and track record of people capability-building
  • Demonstrated track record of transformational change leadership
  • Superb communication skills and ability to influence across the broadest of constituencies
  • Ability to set ambitious and realistic targets, drive for results and build accountability
  • Experience working in a complex, global environment
  • A strong track record of people management and leadership skills acquired in a multicultural environment

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops a strategy for external manufacturing of Teva’s products and manage its implementation, in collaboration with TGO leadership and commercial units
  • Establishes and manages strong relationships with external manufacturing partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards
  • Collaborates with cross-functional team to ensure seamless operations and reinforces key interfaces (e.g., Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain)
  • Develops strategic partnering to give access to unique and key capabilities for the development and supply of our future products
  • Coordinates make vs buy strategy along with Internal Manufacturing Head
  • Manages partners portfolio to control risk, supply, quality and cost optimization
  • Develops robust risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the external supply chain
  • Implements best practices in external manufacturing and monitors appropriate KPIs and metrics to track supplier performance, compliance and cost improvements
  • Develops the org model in each region to support the flow of information to our suppliers and of products to our markets
  • Monitors and analyses cost performance, implementing cost-savings initiatives without compromising quality or efficiency
  • Leads and mentors a high-performing team, promoting collaboration and innovation
  • Guides team members' professional growth and development
Critical Skills/Capabilities:

: Extensive experience in external manufacturing and supplier management within the Pharma / Med Tech / Consumer industries; Strong understanding of best practices in manufacturing and supply chain management; Experience in ensuring compliance and maintaining high quality standards in manufacturing processes

Strong leadership, change management & influencing skills; Decision-making under uncertainty skills; Ability to drive transformational change in a large/global/matrixed environment; Proven talent management & people development capabilities (incl. coaching and mentoring); Ability to create an engaging & inclusive work climate and a culture of appreciation and trust; Ability to set a vision and drive organizational change and innovation; Ability to manage effectively complexity within the organization (shifting timelines, projects, priorities)

Education/Qualifications:

  • 15+ years experience in pharmaceutical external manufacturing and supply chain operations, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, SC Mgmt, Business Administration). Advanced degree preferred. Proven track record in managing external manufacturing partnerships and complex supply chains.

As VP Global Head of Biosimilars, you will be responsible for TEVA Biosimilar business strategy. This pivotal role will optimize our existing portfolio, secure our pipeline and work with our commercial regions and markets in the execution of our biosimilar offering to meet our revenue expectations.

Working within a matrix environment, effectively engineering internal cross-functional alignment will be a core objective working with BD, R and D, Alliance Management, GSC, other global functions and the local country affiliates. In addition, the role will require working with 3rd party partners to ensure the portfolio is developed and launched on time and in full.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Give direction to our BD activities in alignment with the biosimilar strategy, including supporting alliance management and management of our partnerships.
  • Manage and produce internal financial projections and scenarios to bolster pipeline and portfolio strategy, while building global GTN (Gross-to-Net) and other financial targets.
  • Work with the Regions to develop GTM (Go to Market) strategies and be a partner in launch tactics and market execution
  • Devise a comprehensive data strategy that converges into a singular panoramic view of commercial performance.
  • Forge unity across the board, leveraging a wealth of experience and strong understanding of global portfolio prerequisites for asset valuation and selection.
  • Execute thorough due diligence in both product and process development, analytical advancement, and characterization.
  • Harmonize due diligence endeavors with both internal stakeholders and external consultants, particularly in the realms of clinical development and regulatory strategy.
  • Author effective diligence documents and manage the records and reports generated by internal/ external input.
  • Work with internal development partners including clinical, regulatory, and TEVA internal operations to develop and bring these products to market.
  • Review and align on the development of the regulatory submission approach in collaboration with Regulatory Affairs to coordinate the delivery of submission documentation as needed.
  • Sustain an up-to-date mastery of technologies and regulatory frameworks, remaining in sync with the evolving requisites for the development of biological/biosimilar products.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Must have strong knowledge of the Biosimilars space (ideally 10+years)
  • Experience in US and European biosimilar markets
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, MBA, MS, or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen including analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • At least 15 years of pharmaceutical in-line product marketing experience at country level and Global marketing experience
  • Experience leading teams within a matrix environment including establishing and building credibility and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in working with both R&D and business development teams including completing commercial diligence of target external assets
  • Knowledge in manufacturing/scale-up and drug-product combination product requirements.
  • Knowledge of clinical development pathways and requirements for biosimilars development.
  • Proactively address and escalate issues in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a culturally diverse teams
  • Deep understanding of market models and generic/ brand launch principles
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Excellent communication/coordination/interpersonal skills including storytelling and ability to inspire, motivate and present at Enterprise level

Travel Requirements:

  • 25% (Local & International)
