Materials Operations Planner Intern

• Material Planner Intern is a pivotal role within the operations department, that will manage the procurement of materials, planning production, initiate and coordinate the successful completion of equipment build. • Lead the day to day operations of workplace teams, develop and implement strategic plans to achieve workplace operational objectives, utilizing industry best practices to meet business goals

• Degree or Certificate in Mechanical Technology, Toolmaking or Machining, Millwright, completed apprenticeship, or equivalent experience

• You will collaborate closely with Tesla development and user teams to develop, refine, and integrate software modules written in C# on ASP.NET connected to MS SQL Server which are designed to optimize diverse business processes. You will ensure the maintenance of a clean and tested code base

• Take part in equipment concept development and carefully balance product specifications, electrical requirements, part selection availability, controls architecture, and costs
• Define system interconnect, electrical schematic, and key electrical automation components with other engineering groups to ensure that the design criteria are synchronized within all disciplines such as Manufacturing, Mechanical, Software, Process to meet requirements
• Work closely with project managers and other discipline team members to ensure all expectations and specifications are translated into the final design

• Design, develop and commission machine control systems from concept through implementation
• Design industrial control panels, high voltage AC and low voltage control (24VDC) power distribution and control systems using Beckhoff, Siemens and Allen-Bradley platforms
• Provide training when transitioning solutions to the sustaining and production teams and contribute to Tesla electrical standards and best practice documents
