EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum of 6 years work experience in Management Consulting or other Advisory Services and strong ability to plan and drive change management during projects
  • Develop and articulate clear, actionable SAP S/4HANA roadmaps tailored to a client specific business needs and objectives. Strong Business process experience, in a SAP context, such as process re-engineering, process design or process audits
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing SAP landscapes and business processes
  • Evaluate and recommend optimal deployment scenarios (e.g. greenfield, brownfield, hybrid)
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into strategic S/4HANA transformations
  • Advisory in a SAP transformation context. It may cover business process re-engineering, process design and audits, definition of landscape strategy, IT portfolio planning, COE organization, enterprise architecture governance, business value roadmap.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills as well solid presentation skills
  • Proven experience in customer management and team coordination.
  • Experiences in ENR, Utilities industries is a plus
  • Fluent written and spoken French and English

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The Revenue Recognition Senior Specialist is responsible for leading and supporting Revenue Recognition functions in Germany. This position requires a dynamic individual with the ability to partner with the sales organization and the German Commercial Finance team members to ensure the Cloud, Software and Professional Services contracts are accounted for properly in accordance with IFRS. The Revenue Recognition Center of Excellence member reports to the Head of Revenue Recognition in Germany and is a member of the GCF Global Revenue Recognition Center of Excellence.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the go-to expert for complex revenue recognition issues and critical non-routine transactions, offering alternative and simpler solutions and optimizing transaction setups in line with SAP’s Revenue Recognition Guideline and IFRS 15 policies.
  • Enforce compliance to SAP Group Revenue Recognition policies and internal accounting standards in SAP’s Revenue Accounting and Reporting tool (RAR).
  • Perform controls and procedures related to the monthly close reviewing contracts to ensure they are accounted for properly in RAR, especially with respect to allocation of revenue in various revenue lines (services, license, etc.) and timing of recognition. Follow best practices in the area of monthly close. Understand changes in business and regulatory environments to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure accurate booking of transactions in RAR and associated reporting of key KPIs (CCB/TCB).
  • Collaborate closely with Market Unit Commercial Finance, Sales, Pricing, Field & Services Controlling and Legal to support complex deals.
  • Engage with Corporate Financial Reporting and other global stakeholders to drive solutions to challenging revenue recognition topics.
  • Ensure SOX control adherence and participate in review activities during the month end closing.
  • Professionally engage with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting or similar
  • Willingness to develop a strong understanding of IFRS 15
  • Prior experience in Record to Report (R2R) or similar is a plus
  • Working experience with Big 4 public accounting experience or CPA certification considered a plus
  • Problem solver with confidently affirmative attitude, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and perform under time pressure
  • Team player who is proactive and self-driven
  • German and English skills are required

  • Strategy to Execution: Support development of area specific strategy, execution and operational plans. Support monitoring of specific goals (scope, quality, budget, time) to make sure process and product quality goals to are met.
  • Support scale: Apply standards and execute defined tasks, leveraging best practices and learning from senior peers. Volunteer your outside-in perspective to provide suggestions to optimize business services tasks. Produce virtual or hands-on enablement mechanisms that enable end-customer autonomy where appropriate. Support knowledge management activities (coordinate, format and share knowledge) to increase speed and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Support: Respond to internal stakeholders and support peers. Ensure follow-up for efficient closure of requests. Learn to communicate effectively in a virtual - often workflow or email-oriented - set-up towards successful outcomes. Build on learnings and share successes with peers to enable joint progress.

Education:

Role Description:

GTM Franchise

  • Oversee the GTM franchise operational reset globally with a focus in the Americas, ensuring alignment with global priorities.
  • Lead essential initiatives that enhance performance, including pipeline management, territory alignment, forecasting, and sales engagement
  • Identify and address operational gaps throughout the customer journey by enhancing tools, processes, and governance
  • Advise regional Sales and Operations leaders to ensure consistent business operations
  • Work closely with Global Process Executives (GPE) within the Ops Excellence & Planning team in rolling out franchise processes within the Region
  • Act as a bridge between and create a feedback loop between Regional Process Executives (RPE) and GPE to drive evolution and execution of the franchise in the Region

  • Translate strategic objectives into clear operational strategies, frameworks, and execution plans.
  • Act as a crucial liaison between regional and global teams to ensure alignment across the franchise.

Education & Experience

  • Proven track record of driving cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong program management, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
  • Ability to benchmark and adapt processes to remain industry-leading and responsive to market changes
