What You’ll Do

As a Solution Advisor within the SAP Academy for Customer Success, you will be responsible to:

• Successfully complete a 10-month program that strengthens a foundation for a successful customer-facing career at SAP.
• Participate in experiential learning opportunities with colleagues from all over the world and acquire a wide variety of business, industry and SAP solution skills while working with emerging and cutting-edge technologies.
• Receive on-the-job training under the mentorship of a senior Solution Advisor colleague while working with our customers to gain real world experience and acquire the skills necessary to help guide our customers through their Digital Transformation journey.

Solution areas focus:

Knowledge in Supply Chain, Asset Management, Manufacturing, Warehouse Management, or Transportation Management.

• 2-3 years of professional experience with a strong foundation in technical and business processes, exposure to relevant technologies/ solutions, and customer-facing skills.

We are planning a practical and immersive portion of our program, which will likely involve participants spending four (4) weeks, spread across two trips, in San Ramon, California. This experience is designed to provide unparalleled hands-on learning and networking opportunities. *Please note the in-person component is still in the planning phase, and the final decision will be confirmed by the first quarter of 2026. We will ensure that this information is communicated promptly, and that sufficient time is provided for necessary preparations.

During intensive phases of the program, it is critical that all participants are fully engaged and present to ensure maximum learning and success. As such, vacation will not be approved during some critical times of the program

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

The BDC Customer Success Manager (CSM) role is responsible for developing relationships with technical decision makers in their assigned accounts to ensure broad consumption of the portfolio both within and across application projects through Technical Advisory.

• Empower customer success : Partner proactively with customers to enhance their adoption and sustainable consumption of SAP BDC services, coordinating closely with the Account Team.
• Be a strategic advisor : Guide customers in their digital transformation by analyzing big-picture goals and offering expertise in technical and business architectures.
• Orchestrate resources : Serve as the primary strategic point of contact, aligning SAP and customer efforts per the SAP BDC engagement model.

YOUR PROFILE

• Industry and technical expertise : Bring experience from the IT industry—whether in software engineering, project management, pre-sales, consulting, or technical customer engagement. Familiarity with the SAP BDC portfolio (e.g., SAP BTP, Analytics Cloud, Cloud Data Management) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is highly valued.
• Communication and collaboration : Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to navigate organizational complexities and foster cross-functional collaboration. Design thinking knowledge is a bonus.
• Customer-focused mindset : Combine customer empathy with problem-solving drive to deliver outstanding results and ensure customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

• Drive ‘best in class’ business processes implementation on SAP Ariba cloud solution
• Collaborate on most aspects of an SAP Ariba On-Demand implementation including (but not limited to): solutions design, business rule development, user interface configuration and customization, external system integration, technical / end-user training and project management.
• Influence the opinions and decisions of clients leveraging proven best practices
• Assist the customer with data extraction from their existing systems, ensuring adherence to data specifications, and resulting in successful integration with SAP Ariba On-Demand Solutions.

What you bring
