

In this role, you will:
Assist the team with Quality and Efficiency Measurement Solutions: compile monthly quality and efficiency metrics (e.g., how is our BPO time best being spent) and provide areas for improvement. Partner with Ad Operations Managers on building/analyzing a quality dashboard.
Maintain current training documentation updated throughout the lifecycle of the material
Manage day-to-day campaign issues or questions with outsourced vendors and be the first tier of technical escalation to troubleshoot
Partner closely with the Product and Engineering teams to create a pathway to task automation, delegation or elimination
Own initial escalations from cross-functional partners (i.e., questionable Ad Policy violation running on the platform, test seat campaigns making noise for Eng/DSE, validate creative length experience in X country, etc.)
Collaborate with Ad Operations Managers to document trafficking/setup, updates, and workflow optimizations.
Work with Product and Engineering teams to execute testing for product offering enhancements.
Serve as internal Ad Operations point of contact to investigate campaign setup related to Ads Policy, Campaign Delivery Troubleshooting, Engineering alerts/validation, etc.
The ideal candidate has:
4+ years of Ad Tech and/or Ad Operations experience supporting Account Management, Sales, Ads Policy/Quality, or Product/Engineering Teams.
Well-versed in Campaign Trafficking and Execution, including Order and Creative trafficking, Quality Control, Campaign monitoring, pacing, troubleshooting, billing, and reconciliation.
Knowledge and experience working on advertising campaigns with a strong foundation in executing workflows that support quality and efficiency.
A background in Advertising Systems and Tools (CRM, OMS, Ad Servers, Task Management, Reporting, etc.)
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams, including Ads Policy, Product, and Engineering.
Experience interacting with BPO vendors and managing the vendor's tasks of campaign setup and management, including but not limited to trafficking, QC, and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and willingness to pivot as needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
Experience supporting multiple regions and timezones
Fluent in English, Native level Japanese

Key areas of responsibilities include:
Collaborate with channel partners to create demand, developing scaled mechanisms and playbooks to unlock new clients and grow high-potential opportunities.
Own day-to-day inbound for always-on programmatic deals sourced by DSP partners, consulting on operational needs for programmatic campaigns and ensuringalignment with campaign objectives and client goals.
Develop and scale operational best practices in a predictable and repeatable manner across channel partners to enhance discoverability and facilitate effective buying for customers across the APAC region.
Partner with Sales Revenue teams to identify trends and health of always-on deals, such as spend, net new advertisers, growth, churn, and accounts ready for ‘graduation’; use insights to improve deal curation strategy.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of digital advertising and client facing roles with a focus on data analysis experience
Experience with annual brand and media planning; deep understanding of ad tech and programmatic advertising,industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in the programmatic landscape.
Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
Multilingual language skills with fluency in English plus a second/third language preferred (e.g. Japanese, Korean).

About the Role
We are looking to hire a creative self-starter who loves entertainment, especially Japanese Content. You will have a deep understanding of how to develop strategic publicity campaigns, the ability to work well with anyone, anywhere, and be excited by creative single/multiple title storytelling, and innovative campaigns that spark impactful conversations about Japanese Content - from anime to live action.
Reporting to the Publicity team leader in Japan, the role requires the ability to build and maintain strong rapport with external stakeholders such as talent management companies, filmmakers, showrunners, IP holders (often publishers), production partners and such. It also requires the ability to become a strong cross functional partner to Content, Content Legal, Photo and Audiovisual Studio, Marketing, Awards, and other teams.
The work:
Identify titles that will drive the business in Japan
Set strategy & execute publicity campaigns for Japanese Content by working closely with cross-functional counterparts locally
Continue to build strong relationships with talent management companies and other key external stakeholders
Explore and continuously build strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers
Run campaigns across earned media channels, including broadcast, print and online to maximize title promotion
Create cultural moments and high-impact campaigns, with an emphasis on trying new and innovative ways to promote titles
Formulate and manage a budget, and give visibility into the process successfully
Act as the point of contact of showrunner/filmmaker, production partners, and talent reps to discuss the publicity strategy for the title -- also working with requests and approvals for campaigns assets including photography, glam, interviews, BTS, clips, and other AV materials
Act as the informed captain to coordinate set visits, talent tours, virtual junkets, and any other interview opportunities
Develop useful and impactful press materials in support of the campaign for media use
Set and implement screening strategy
Manage publicity agencies
Have at least 8 years of experience in PR/marketing within the entertainment industry and have a strong connection with Digital Media channels. Experience working with influencers is a plus
Understand Japan’s entertainment landscape and stakeholders (studios, production partners, talent reps, etc)
Love entertainment and be excited to deliver stories that showcase Japanese content to people all over the world
Have a strong network of relationships with showrunners and partners
Be an all-rounder with an ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships inside and outside the organization across different time zones
Be a self-starter who comes up with new approaches and is eager to try out new/innovative campaigns
Has a strong bias-to-action and can change course, be scrappy, and get things done on short timeframes
Fluency in Japanese is a must, business proficiency in English is an advantage
An independent thinker with the ability for innovation and new ideas, making the leap from information to insight
Effective communicator and writer (we love debates and memos)
