Key Responsibilities:

You’ll lead and deliver comprehensive architectural design programs, providing strategic oversight and coordination across all phases of development:

• Serve as a primary client interface, building lasting relationships and fostering trust across all stakeholders
• Direct project planning efforts, including:
  • Developing project management plans and aligning solutions with stakeholder goals
  • Evaluating alternatives and recommending optimal design approaches
• Manage architectural design and engineering phases for major capital investments, overseeing:
  • Scoping and budgeting
  • Coordination with internal teams and external partners including agencies, local governments, and design consultants
• Execute project monitoring and control activities throughout the full lifecycle:
  • Develop and present progress reports
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and change processes
  • Conduct monthly status updates to senior leadership

We’ll look to you to perform daily project administration and coordination for construction projects related to heavy transportation infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading the inspection staff including reviewing daily inspector reports, handling project correspondence and maintaining accurate records, producing estimates, assisting with the change order process, reviewing contractor payroll reports and EEO documents.

You should have considerable knowledge of NYSDOT highway, bridge, rail or facilities construction practices and procedures; have the ability to prepare correspondence, reports and recommendations concerning construction issues; have a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others. In addition, you should have the ability to use applicable software and record keeping methods consistent with the requirements of Jacobs and our clients.

Resident Engineerto lead construction management teams for successful delivery of complex conveyance construction projects. As a Resident Engineer, we need you to have ability to manage complex, technical engineering (wastewater/civil/mechanical /electrical/I&C) construction projects, lead construction project teams (Assistant REs, Inspectors, Schedulers, etc.); encourage a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with all departments; including stakeholders; lead project team in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost control, schedule control, change management, risk management, and performance; and identify problems, analyze information and develop sound recommendations. You will act as the project interface for the Owner, working with the Owner’s Project Manager, designer, contractor, operations and maintenance, and will assist with project meetings with contractor and stakeholders; and effectively delivering results in a timely manner. You will develop a trusted relationship with the project team, contractor and with the client’s staff. You will place an emphasis on safe construction practices (Beyond Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction. Lead by example and oversee safe practices on site.

Jacobs is seeking a, based in. As an operator you’ll work with project staff to perform maintenance of equipment and quality control testing. Partnering with other team members you’ll apply knowledge of the principles, methods and tools employed in the general operation of engines, pumps, valves, motors and related equipment, wastewater process control and safe work practices. You’ll also have the opportunity to: monitor, record and operate the wastewater treatment plant, recharge and SCADA system; diagnose operating problems, analyze recording instrument readings and laboratory test results and adjust various plant processes accordingly, perform plant inspections to determine efficiency of operations, cleanliness, and maintenance activities including remedial action in emergencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Operates treatment facilities to control flow and processing of wastewater, sludge, and effluent

· Monitors gauges, meters, and control panels

· Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings

· Operates valves and gates either manually or by remote control

· Starts and stops pumps, engines, and generators to control and adjust flow and treatment processes

· Maintains shift log and records meter and gauge readings

· Collects samples and performs routine laboratory tests and analyses

· Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties

· Make operating decisions in absence of supervisory personnel

· Understands and carries out oral and written directions

· Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work

· Performs other duties as required
