Job Description


Job Purpose

The Connectivity & Feeds division of ICE Data Services provides market data and trading infrastructure on the buy side, sell side and ISVs. The role is for a Pre Sales Consultant to act as a Real Time Feeds expert in their field while providing support at every stage of the Sales process. The individual will be responsible for designing technical solutions to meet the demands of customers, while owning specific opportunities through to contract signature and billing. This role will have primary ownership for assigned opportunities to ensure proposed solutions are implemented according to best practices, are compliant with all necessary regulations, meet the business and technical requirements of the customer and ultimately result in a successful sale.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements gathering: qualification and documentation of prospect’s need for a data feed solution
  • Solution design: deciding what product mix fits the requirements in the most effective way, from a content, interface, usage and connectivity/infrastructure perspective. The output will include content coverage spreadsheets, infrastructure, Visio diagrams and other supporting materials.
  • Applying commercial guidelines to help cost out set solution and completing the relevant product order forms.
  • Support any trial and proof-of-concept efforts to help prospect through the evaluation phase. Track and report progress through a formalized project management approach when needed. Respond to all technical client queries in a prompt and informative matter; lead or attend client calls/meetings as needed. Involve specialist support depending on the query (e.g. Business Analysts, Technology, Network Engineering, Exchange Relations, Product Management…).
  • Assist the Sales team in the contractual process and providing the relevant supporting technical documentation/information.
  • Upon contract closure, coordinate the effort to implement the solution in Production, working alongside the delivery teams and eventually handing off to Client Services.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Market Data and/or Electronic Trading domain in a Pre-Sales, Support, Product or TAM capacity, having had significant exposure to associated technology, terminology, vendors, trading venues, market forces, regulation
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets and related terminology
  • Content specialist across various asset classes covering real-time data as well a reference data
  • Expert user of Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
  • Understanding of networking and associated protocols (TCP/IP, Multicast, VPN, Cloud Connectivity)
  • UNIX or similar command-line experience (desirable)
  • Programming experience at some level in Java, C# or C++ (desirable)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise under pressure, while maintaining high quality output and meeting deadlines
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of work is essential, diligence
  • Confident and professional communicator, both written and in front of audience
  • Logical and methodical at trouble-shooting
  • Fluent in English, fluency in a secondary major European language an advantage

Job Purpose

This role entails developing client demand across all ICE indices, notably including the ICE BofA Fixed Income Indices and the the NYSE Equity Indices, across EMEA. The Specialist will act in partnership with multiple global and regional internal stakeholders (e.g. Sales and Relationship Management, Index Product, Index Commercial, and Marketing) from ICE Data Services and externally with clients, prospects and partners to drive growth in the IDI Services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a large book of business including key and strategic accounts;
  • Be the face of ICE Data Services for Index business by regularly engaging with clients & prospects;
  • Be a subject matter expert in all aspects of Index creation, Index use and process flow (i.e. the eco-system of index use);
  • Contribute strongly to team sales quota;
  • Contribute to new product development and regional strategy for IDI Indices;
  • Identify competitive threats that could cause potential risk to our index business;
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes that may benefit or damage our index business;
  • Work closely with the sales and relationship management teams to grow business and develop cross selling opportunities for other ICE services;
  • Will need to travel across the region on a regular basis.

Knowledge and Experience

  • French or German language fluency preferred
  • Solid experience in an index client-facing role within either an Index Provider, Asset Manager, ETF Provider, Investment Bank or Market Data Vendor;
  • Understand the use of indices in benchmarking, particularly in passive strategies, as well as the downstream use of constituent level data within the wider Index Ecosystem
  • Solid technical understanding of all Index products, especially Fixed Income products

  • Liaise with external legal providers as necessary to ensure employment law compliance in relation to all practices and procedures and in relation to live cases including tribunal claims.
  • Coaching and advising managers and employees in dealing with employee relations situations, resulting in their improved understanding and ability to prevent and /or manage future issues.
  • Effective collaboration with global HRBP team on various matters such as advising on local policy and processes and the complexity of employment legislation across different regions, to deliver a seamless one team service to the business.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders in the wider HR teams to ensure internal processes support the effective administration and application of HR policies and look for opportunities on how to educate the wider business with regards to ER
  • Projects - ad hoc projects or tasks as requested by the Senior Manager, Employee Relations, EMEA & APAC.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of ER experience within a large multi-jurisdiction organization including experience of managing grievances, disciplinaries, redundancies, performance improvement and employment tribunal cases.
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK employment law and best practice together with experience of advising on employment law related matters across EMEA & APAC. Knowledge and practical experience of employment law in other jurisdictions across EMEA & APAC would be beneficial.
  • Acquisition integration experience including TUPE transfers and collective consultation would be benefitical.
  • A skilled team player with a solution-based approach to address issues, identifies and implements new solutions which add value.

A vacancy exists in the EMEA Feeds sales organization for a Sales Executive. The role’s primary remit is to drive new business sales via new logos/accounts in the EMEA region, key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Originate new sales in an assigned territory to meet assigned sales quota and revenue targets for Feeds solutions
