Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

  • Responsible for managing other marketing professionals.
  • Ensure seamless sharing of information, best practices, and lessons learned across the organization.
  • Lead the development and implementation of key initiatives including brand and disease strategy, oncology healthcare professional educational programs and materials across multiple marketing channels.
  • Develop short to long term sales forecast for both in-line products and pipeline assets.
  • Support competitive intelligence initiatives.
  • Lead budget preparation and management.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic areas, becoming the commercial expert for these disease areas.
  • Develop KEE (key external expert) strategy.
  • Incorporate customer insights into programs and materials.
  • Coordinate/Lead cross-functional team of Sales and other key functional areas including Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, and Legal/Compliance.
  • Manage external agencies to develop and implement promotional programs and materials.
  • Work closely with key hematology/oncology stakeholders including nurses, hospitals, office staff ,and professional societies.
  • Develop/conduct external communication plans to increase company presence as well as disease awareness leveraging external vendors.
  • Perform all company business in accordance with regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced business degree strongly preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years pharmaceutical commercial brand leadership
  • At least 5 years pharmaceutical / consulting/ digital life science industry experience
  • Experience and knowledge of oncology/hematology products is preferred
  • Product launch experience is a plus

Language Proficiency

  • Fluency in Japanese and English

Others

  • High level of proactivity, flexibility and drive
  • Demonstrated strong communication & creative solution skills
  • Ability to work with multiple functions in a complex environment
