RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Hire and develop a team of experienced Sales Managers, Mid-Market Account Executives, and Commercial Account Executives
  • Consistently deliver against team revenue goals
  • Assist your team throughout their strategic sales cycles by deeply understanding customers needs and mapping them to the value of Gong
  • Support team in navigating, closing and expanding within multimillion dollar accounts
  • Partner with sales leadership to further define a successful and repeatable sales process
  • Understand the challenges facing the team and clear the way to allow for success
  • Regularly report on team and individual results through pipeline management and forecasting
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency and productivity
QUALIFICATIONS
  • You must be currently located in Salt Lake City
  • 6+ years of experience building and managing high performing sales teams (for a Saas Company) preferably having sold to Financial Services, Healthcare, Consulting, Manufacturing, or Energy organizations
  • Successful track record of 100%+ of quota achievement as a manager and individual contributor in Strategic sales
  • Previous experience recruiting, retaining, and developing a team from the ground up
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of business acumen and understanding of how revenue leaders think
  • Previous experience selling into sales leadership (C and VP level)
  • Experience with Gong.io preferred

  • Serve as the key contact point and represent Gong to its partners

Product Innovation

  • Stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies to identify product and partnership opportunities
  • Work closely with Product Management to prioritize and deliver product capabilities that allow partners to increase customer value
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in building and managing technology partnerships in the B2B SaaS sector, as part of a partnerships, business development or product management team
  • 3+ years of experience in the B2B Revenue Technology space preferred
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with both external partners and internal teams
  • Deep understanding of SaaS sales cycles, go-to-market strategies, and partner ecosystems
  • Strong technical and product aptitude

As a Director on our Sales Engineering team, you will be instrumental in building and leading a team of Sales Engineering Managers who support our Commercial, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and guide the team in solution-based selling of our industry-leading Revenue AI platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build a customer-focused, high-performing team that effectively communicates the business outcomes and value customers can achieve using our Gong platform.
  • Recruit, mentor, and empower managers and sales engineers to maximize their potential and contribute effectively to team and company goals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration within the Sales Engineering team and establish strong partnerships with Sales counterparts to drive revenue growth.
  • Optimize existing workflows and eliminate bottlenecks by collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Product teams, ensuring smooth deal execution.
  • Cultivate relationships and engage in discussions with our key strategic customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, Sales Operations, and Product/Engineering teams, leveraging sound judgment to meet and exceed business objectives.
  • Be a steward of our company culture and actively enforce our Operating Principles by embodying them in daily practices and team interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A proven track record of building and managing high-performing sales engineering teams for 6+ years with proven experience as a leader of leaders.
  • 12+ years of relevant sales engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a customer-facing team; including strong people management skills, and a commitment to mentoring, coaching, and employee development.
  • Proven experience in building a successful team from the ground up, with a readiness to roll up your sleeves and engage directly on deals, embodying our #no-royalty leadership principle.
  • Ability to foster trust and collaboration among team members and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of key personas and workflows within a GTM organization.
  • Experience with sales technology: CRMs, cloud architecture, or telephony / web conference systems.
  • Familiarity with data flows, AI and machine learning concepts, analytics, APIs/webhooks, and JSON.
  • Understanding of security and privacy considerations related to SaaS systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
