  • Drive business opportunity by working with community leaders, realtors, developers, employers, builders and other potential lead sources to build book of business.
  • Present locally on Citi’s mortgage products, including at consumer events such as homeownership seminars to realtors / builders during in-office presentations and lunch-n-learns, by example.
  • Participate in diverse realtor organization events, chambers of commerce and other business groups to drive mortgage opportunity and build book of business.
  • Partner with Business Development Officer to build go-to-market strategy and partnership to achieve local market goals.
  • Consult with customers about their financial situation, financial and personal objectives and lending needs for the purpose of helping them achieve their home ownership goals.
  • Collect and analyze information about the customer's financial situation, financial and personal goals, tolerance for risk and change, plans for the future, income, assets, debts, cash flow, and credit history.
  • Analyze financial information for customers to make an initial assessment regarding whether the customer and the property may qualify for a particular lending solution.
  • Make recommendations to customers about which lending solutions would best meet the customer’s financial and personal objectives
  • Advise customers about the consequences, risks, and benefits of alternative lending solutions.
  • Promote Citi's brand, and promote Citi as the provider for lending and other financial solutions. This includes promoting Citi and its financial services to real estate agencies, builders, other referral sources, and customers.
  • Work as a team with all internal partners to support and grow our customers.
  • Refer customers who seek financial services other than lending solutions to the appropriate Citi professionals.
  • Partner with Operations teams to ensure the seamless transfer of the loan application in order to provide documents to the Processors and acquire any additional information needed by the Processors and/or Underwriters.
  • Work with Processors/Closers and customers to ensure the timely closing of the customer's loan.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Keep abreast of trends and developments in local marketplace, as well as changing rules and regulations across the industry, and expand internal and external network to better serve clients and industry professionals
  • Attend a minimum of 2 – 3 Diverse Realtor and/or affordable housing nonprofit events per quarter.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with community loan products inclusive of specialized LMI mortgage solutions, lender paid assistance programs, 3rd party assistance programs, required.
  • 5+ years previous mortgage sales experience required
  • Expertise of general lending products and overall mortgage industry, including FHA/VA & conventional.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write and present in both Spanish and English, required
  • The ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives.
  • The ability to communicate with customers about the proper documents and information needed to obtain a particular loan.
  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern consumer lending, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to build business opportunities with local community leaders, realtors, builders and other potential sources.

Reporting to Director of FP&A, the Financial Planning and Analysis Lead Analyst is a senior professional role responsible for providing financial analysis and support to Citi Mortgage organization. The overall objective is to contribute to directional strategy as well as utilize in-depth specialty knowledge to provide advice on the evaluation of financial reports of Citi’s current and projected performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering and acting as trusted advisor to Mortgage division senior leadership for all financial business decisions.
  • Develop and execute regular cadence for monthly, quarterly, and annual review of financial results.
  • Execute analysis of annual Operating Plans, CCAR forecasts, quarterly reforecasts, and monthly outlooks in partnership with segment, business, and country FP&A teams.
  • Become a SME on Mortgage division and serve as a primary point of contact on topic for finance division.
  • Take ownership of Models and EUCs and support development, utilization, and monitoring of governance and controls.
  • Build forecast models using Excel, Hyperion, and other tools and software.
  • Drive risk & control agenda including data accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and metrics; identify, assess, and escalate risks.
  • Engage with Finance partners both on and off-shore in support of Finance objectives.
  • Prepare analytics in support of CEO Reviews, including business initiatives.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.


Qualifications:

  • BS in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA and/or CFA is a plus
  • Strong experience in finance & analytical roles, including in the consumer banking industry.
