  • Acting as a technology advocate, providing feedback to Cisco’s product teams for development and improvements, and staying current with the latest Cisco technologies, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Offering expert mentorship to customers, ensuring they achieve their business and technical goals with Cisco technologies.
  • Driving software utilization and value realization, leading to customer renewals and business growth.
  • Proactively handling renewal risks, demonstrating insights to increase customer retention, and facilitating workshops to review adoption progress and ensure successful onboarding.
  • Building positive relationships with customer partners to understand their challenges and objectives, and collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, Renewals, and Business Entities to identify use cases that drive value and business outcomes.
  • Advocating for the customer within Cisco, ensuring their needs are met and that they receive a high-quality customer experience.
  • Build and implement Technical Adoption Plans in partnership with Customer Success Specialists (CSS) that align with customer goals to increase their technology investments and promote the full use of our technologies.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest Cisco technologies, competitive landscape, and industry trends to provide expert mentorship to customers
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8 + years working in a customer facing role in an IT company or in an Enterprise IT organization
  • Understanding of fundamental networking concepts - skills and knowledge to set up, manage, fix, and troubleshoot small to medium-level networks.
  • Experience developing software adoption plans across technology portfolio
  • Experience driving software adoption with customer executives and technical leaders
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of financial, consulting, and/or retail services industries
  • CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification (or equivalent work experience)

You will understand their Business and Technical objectives and develop strategies that will enable them. You will be responsible for ensuring we deliver customer aligned outcomes. You will engage with both executives and technical partners within the customer.

  • Drive adoption of software, services and value realization leading to successful renewal and growth. Proactively manage and mitigate renewal risk throughout customer journey and in alignment with Renewals team, leverage risk insights and adoption action plans to increase customer retention rates.
  • Develop and maintain strong executive and technical influence with customers and understanding their business challenges and objectives.
  • Advocate for the customer within Cisco, ensuring their needs are met and that they receive a high-quality customer experience.
  • Accountable for financials including services revenue and margin and making needed strategic financial decisions.
  • Build and implement Technical Adoption Plans in partnership with CSS that align with customer goals to maximize their technology investments and promote the full use of our technologies.
  • Build E2E Customer plan aligning Delivery, Partner, Architecture, and Customer Success adoption strategy and execution
  • Lead Customer Value Workshops and QBRs to review adoption progress and drive customers outcomes and benefits expected from Cisco products resulting in successful onboarding, adoption and renewals.
  • Be a Technology Evangelist between customers and Cisco’s product teams, providing feedback to advise product development and enhancements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Cisco technologies, competitive landscape, and industry trends to provide expert mentorship to customers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of at least one technology architecture (Security, Enterprise Networking, Cloud Infrastructure & Software (Data Center), Collaboration / Contact Center).
  • Experience driving successful customer adoption and delivery of projects.
  • Experience developing and maintaining strong senior level relationships
  • Experience with budgeting and knowledge of recurring revenue concepts.

Preferred Qualification

  • Working knowledge of healthcare provider industry

As the Regional Sales Manager for Cisco’s New England Public Sector, you’ll be the driving force behind our growth and success in this high-impact region. Your mission:

  • Own the Strategy: Develop and execute a bold sales strategy to exceed $100M+ in annual revenue targets, delivering innovative Cisco solutions to public sector clients across state, local government, and education (SLED) accounts.
  • Lead with Vision: Inspire and collaborate with a high-performing sales team, channel partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to amplify our market presence and customer impact.
  • Build Relationships that Matter: Cultivate and expand trusted partnerships with C-level decision-makers and key influencers in the New England public sector, positioning Cisco as their go-to technology partner.
  • Drive Innovation: Seek opportunities to solve complex challenges with Cisco’s industry-leading portfolio—think networking, cybersecurity, collaboration tools, and more—tailored to the unique needs of public sector clients.
  • Deliver Results: Forecast accurately, manage a robust pipeline, and consistently surpass quotas while upholding Cisco’s dedication to integrity and excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of commercial/enterprise sales experience
  • Proven ability to lead large accounts, multi-million dollar territories and geographies
  • Solid leadership, coaching, mentoring, and top grading skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior sales leadership experience preferred and someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Public sector experience is a big plus!
  • A knack for crafting winning strategies and navigating complex sales cycles with government and institutional clients.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or networking solutions (Cisco knowledge is a bonus, but not a must—we’ll get you up to speed).
  • Ability to rally teams, adapt to change, and deliver results under pressure while fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture.
  • Familiarity with the New England market and willingness to travel across the region as needed to connect with clients and teams.
