  • Coordinates sell in process for upcoming season and make preparation for sell-in tools (Showroom preparation, sell in presentation etc)
  • Manage and implement definition tools and drive conclusive competitive analysis to influence pricing considering the competition.Provide pricing inputs to the range architecture framework.
  • Manages expectations of channels / accounts for the gaps in the market. Creates tactical price point products, exclusive offers in channel/account base.

As Senior Manager Product Costing Footwear, you are Contributing to the Brand growth and profitability by gaining a full understanding of its business potential, anticipating requirements, proposing cost-based solutions to achieve Brand adidas objectives. You will be responsible to drive the overall costing performance of the Business Unit through implementation of Global Footwear Costing process and standards, assuring product cost value maximizing and company go-in margin targets are met by leading and guiding the Creation teams to optimize landed costs through a clear understanding of cost driver trends and product engineering opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide product costing expertise during product creation cycles to advise on key cost drivers and options to maximize product value and costs to meet margin targets

• Create margin report at each of milestone and analysis gaps. Drive follow up with leaders, development, and product line manager for any variation’s vs target margin/FOBs.

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

As Senior Manager PM Brand - Margin you will be responsible for bringing top-notch financial support to the SVP Finance Europe & Commercial, the Commercial & Cluster FP&A Europe, the European BUs and Range Architecture Europe, helping them achieve their respective objectives and our overall adidas goals. You will provide business transparency and bring recommendations to your business partners, facilitating fact-based decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional:

  • Facilitate yearly fiscal margin target setting for Europe in close alignment with Global expectations, providing analysisand scenario planning
  • Analyse Europe Go-In and Standard Margin development (ACT/BOH vs. RFC/TAR) on a regular basis, highlighting risks & opportunities, and creating transparency to the Europe FP&A community
  • Manage & execute standardized reporting and ad-hoc analysis around the seasonal and fiscal margin development of Europe
  • Manage seasonal range planning process with detailed analysis on pricing and Go-In Margin as required to optimize brand and financial impact
  • Analyse and simulate pricing strategies to maximize profitability and optimal product mix
  • Drive compliance with the EU Pricing Policy across the organisation; further optimize and ensure execution of the defined process & procedures and provide appropriate compliance documentation on a seasonal basis for the EU controls testing process
  • Partner with the IBP team to provide required information to improve the IBP margin planning through GSP, LCP and product mix development assumptions on key category level
  • Design, develop and implement state of the art analytic tools to support the seasonal and fiscal margin planning and the seasonal pricing processes
  • Lead medium- to large-sized projects, implement findings and ensure sustainability of achievements
  • Create new and improved working methods that significantly contribute to the overall department’s or business partners’ success
  • Significantly contribute to the further development of horizontal margin management topics such as
  • Develop and implement adequate communication packages to present derived results, recommendations, and solutions to FP&A Europe and the European SLT

  • Recruit, coach, motivate and develop direct report while advocating an obsession with driving the business and winning the consumer
  • Establish an entrepreneurial growth and learning mindset within the team (direct report and overall department) with a strong bias for technical innovation and agile ways of working; complement with a strong drive for action & execution

  • Solid experience with SAP and Power BI / MSTR is a must

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in business administration or finance, MBA preferred
  • 5-8 years’ professional experience in a related field
  • Experience in marketing- or brand-driven environment preferred

  • Drive category business success across all KPIs by executing global-local category plans.
  • Deliver a complete local range plan, including range selection, pricing, go-in margin, forecasting, margin efficiency, phasing, segmentation, and campaign execution.
  • Coordinates sell in process for upcoming season and make preparation for sell-in tools (Showroom preparation, sell in presentation etc)
  • Manage and implement definition tools and drive conclusive competitive analysis to influence pricing considering the competition.Provide pricing inputs to the range architecture framework.
  • Manages expectations of channels / accounts for the gaps in the market. Creates tactical price point products, exclusive offers in channel/account base.
  • Coordinate the sell-in process for upcoming seasons and prepare all sell-in tools (e.g., showroom setup, presentations).
  • Analyses the orderbook for upcoming season, defines action points and works with channels to secure the priorities of upcoming season
  • Follows in season brand calendar with related teams (Supply Chain, Channel Leads, Brand Activation and Omni Channel) and takes actions for execution of the calendar
  • Establish product segmentation strategy for related categories & accounts.
  • Assists Manager CTC adidas in preparing and analyzing reports by providing and consolidating data and by using analytical skills and know-how.

  • Local Production / SMU / Early Launch efficiencies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., relationship management, collaboration, creativity, confidence and facilitation)
  • Strong cross functional experience, across merchandising, category management, brand and sales
  • Structured, organized and process orientated
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is a must.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, ideally with marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience
  • > 4 years ofCategory Management/ Ranging/ Merchandising Experience ideally in sporting goods, fashion or other youth culture brands
  • Strong presentation/communications and influencing skills IT skills: Outlook and Word: Basic; Excel and PowerPoint: advanced
