  • Using available resources, draft complete application packages for review by the supervising lawyer.
  • Ensure that applications are filed in a timely manner.
  • Draft emails in response to queries by clients and notify them of updates to their applications.
  • Delegate appropriate work to support staff, such as: completion of forms, copying of documents, and mailing out application packages.
  • Follow up with immigration authorities on pending applications.
  • Conduct electronic data entry including billing and general client information in applicant tracking system.
  • Ensure that lawyers are at all times advised of client related issues.
  • Professional Development: may be required to attend seminars and professional development courses that are relevant to their area of specialty.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer, who will become part of our Security Technology Services Engineering team. Your key Responsibilities

As an individual contributor, you’ll bring your engineering expertise into efforts which introduce new technologies and upgrade existing ones. Active project participation in new or integrated technologies as the Subject Matter Expert for the Information Security use cases pertaining to Cloud Security technology. You will be responsible for the design, engineering, implementation, and early life cycle support of systems and services within our EY multi-cloud environments. To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge in several of the following areas: Cloud services (Azure, GCP, or AWS), cloud resource delivery and management, and security enforcement in cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes, such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), or Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), as well as serverless container platforms such as Azure Container Apps (ACA), Azure Container Instances (ACI), AWS Fargate, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • 4+ years of experience in Security, with a strong focus on cloud or container security.
  • Proven track record of working with a team as well as managing projects and initiatives.
  • Proficiency with change control management processes.
  • The ability and desire to train and mentor staff in technical process and best practices.
  • Extensive experience working in large, global, and virtual environments.
  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Hands-on experience with container security platforms such as AquaSec Platform & Trivy.
  • Experience or awareness of observability & operation telemetry platforms, such as Azure Log Analytics Workspace, Grafana, Logstash, etc.
  • Experience working with automation and workflow orchestration services, such as Logic Apps/PowerAutomate, n8n, etc
  • Relevant certifications in cloud administration, engineering, or security (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • Security certifications such as GSEC, CISSP, or equivalents from ISC2 or GIAC.

  • On instruction from the lawyer, research current processing requirements at service centres/consulates etc.
  • Manage the lifecycle of applications including, document collection, drafting, reviewing, editing and submission of packages.
  • Collect information and documentation from HR contacts and applicants.
  • Using available resources, draft complete application packages for review by the supervising lawyer.
  • Ensure that applications are filed in a timely manner.
  • Draft emails in response to queries by clients and notify them of updates to their applications.
  • Delegate appropriate work to support staff, such as: completion of forms, copying of documents, and mailing out application packages.
  • Follow up with immigration authorities on pending applications.
  • Conduct electronic data entry including billing and general client information in applicant tracking system.
  • Ensure that lawyers are at all times advised of client related issues.
  • Professional Development: may be required to attend seminars and professional development courses that are relevant to their area of specialty.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate University Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of U.S business immigration preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $48,000 to $72,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
