US – Tax – Indirect Tax Technology and Transformation – Senior Manager - Tax Platform Engineer

As a senior manager you'll continuously enhance your proficiencies in the design, promotion and delivery of major technology tools, including application development, data acquisition and transformation, and data analytics and visualization/reporting. You'll work side-by-side with tax-technical subject matter professionals (SMPs) to develop and deploy data and technology solutions that will enable our tax-technical SMPs to efficiently and effectively deliver quality tax consulting, with timely and responsive services and work products that meet and/or exceed client expectations.

Your key responsibilities

We'll look to you to challenge the effectiveness of the tax technology strategy and approach for all engagements while developing strong relationships across a network of existing and future clients and key stakeholders. You'll identify opportunities for the use of technology to accelerate and enhance delivery of indirect tax services and actively participate as member of pursuit teams and service delivery teams supporting various client projects including working with executive-level stakeholders, developing transformative solutions, and fostering deep client relationships. You will contribute toward developing a technically diverse and talented team, all while handing activities that focus on quality and commercial value.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in technology, information science, accounting, or finance and minimum of 7 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 6 years of related work experience
  • Approved technical certification, CPA license or membership to a state Bar
  • Hands-on technical experience with deep expertise in architecting and delivering innovative, data-driven solutions using modern analytics and AI technologies
  • Experience with developing solutions using Microsoft Azure, IBM watsonx, or Databricks stack
  • A strong interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies and leveraging them to optimize and transform business processes
  • Experience designing and developing scalable, high-performance databases, particularly using Microsoft SQL Server, to support robust analytics and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong communication skills in managing executive stakeholders, framing value propositions, and influencing strategic decisions

Your key responsibilities

You will be responsible for partnering with Business Technology Leaders, Solution Delivery Leaders and Architects in the definition and delivery of long-term business and technology strategies for one or more portfolio(s) through the application of domain knowledge and enterprise analysis, fostering reuse and continuity throughout.

  • Plan and manage the BA approach, communicating, driving and managing the business analysis effort for the Portfolio throughout all phases of the ATTG project life cycle.
  • Lead a team of BAs assigned to program/portfolio project(s), ensuring comprehensive business analysis is performed on all projects across the assigned Portfolio/Programs. Also, will perform hands-on BA work directly as needed.
  • Actively review requirements traceability for impact and coverage analysis throughout the Portfolio.

As a senior manager you'll continuously enhance your proficiencies in the design, promotion and delivery of major technology tools, including application development, data acquisition and transformation, and data analytics and visualization/reporting. You'll work side-by-side with tax-technical subject matter professionals (SMPs) to develop and deploy data and technology solutions that will enable our tax-technical SMPs to efficiently and effectively deliver quality tax consulting, with timely and responsive services and work products that meet and/or exceed client expectations.

Your key responsibilities

We'll look to you to challenge the effectiveness of the tax technology strategy and approach for all engagements while developing strong relationships across a network of existing and future clients and key stakeholders. You'll identify opportunities for the use of technology to accelerate and enhance delivery of indirect tax services and actively participate as member of pursuit teams and service delivery teams supporting various client projects including working with executive-level stakeholders, developing transformative solutions, and fostering deep client relationships. To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in technology, information science, accounting, or finance and minimum of 7 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 6 years of related work experience
  • Approved technical certification, CPA license or membership to a state Bar
  • Hands-on technical experience with deep expertise in architecting and delivering innovative, data-driven solutions using modern analytics and AI technologies
  • Experience with developing solutions using Microsoft Azure, IBM watsonx, or Databricks stack
  • A strong interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies and leveraging them to optimize and transform business processes
  • Experience designing and developing scalable, high-performance databases, particularly using Microsoft SQL Server, to support robust analytics and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong communication skills in managing executive stakeholders, framing value propositions, and influencing strategic decisions

The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $202,000 to $437,100.
