As a Security Consultant, you'll be part of the Akamai Professional Services team, working directly with clients. You'll serve as the main point of contact for our customers' security services. As a trusted advisor, you'll deliver service excellence and help customers strengthen their security posture. You'll also solve complex challenges to ensure the successful integration of Akamai's security solutions.

As a Security Consultant II, you will be responsible for:

• Leading implementations of Akamai security solutions based on customer needs and business goals
• Applying technical expertise and project management to ensure successful outcomes
• Collaborating across teams to assess needs, evaluate architecture, and design security solutions
• Maintaining trusted relationships through guidance, communication, and security best practices
• Partnering with security experts to solve advanced technical challenges during implementations
• Identifying risks, building mitigation plans, and escalating issues to ensure resolution

• Have experience in web security or supporting security projects
• Know internet technologies and protocols like HTTP, DNS, IP, TLS and TCP

As a Security Architect Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Owning the technical aspects of integration (configuration, debugging, documentation, testing and go-live) of our Security Solutions
• Analyzing customer traffic as well as systems and customizing Akamai security solutions to answer customers' security needs and challenges
• Collaborating with cross-functional project team to scope, set timelines, create technical solutions and support the ongoing implementations
• Delivering advanced Professional Services such as training, consultancy workshops and optimizations according to customer requirements
• Participating in ongoing training initiatives to develop your skills
• Being a proactive technical consultant for our customers, delivering value with every engagement

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience in web security projects or in supporting security including understanding of modern web attacks
• Have knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and how they relate to internet services compromise or attacks
• Have knowledge and experience with web applications, content delivery and network protocols (DNS, HTTP and HTTPS)
• Have experience using command line tools, scripting and log analysis
• Be able to analyse data, provide actionable solutions and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrate communication and presentation skills in Italian and English to articulate technical information
• Show proactivity and work with a sense of urgency with a constant desire to learn

• Have sales experience in Cloud Services Sales (infrastructure and/or Software) in the B2B Enterprise market.
• Have a technical career history with a desire to move/have moved into a sales overlay role.
• Have cloud expertise AWS, Azure, GCP, Digital Ocean, OVH or similar is a must.
• Have a deep understanding of containerization and networking.
• Build trust by mastering sales, navigating complex conversations, and closing deals to improve customer businesses.
