- This role is based on a Hybrid basis from our new Manchester city centre office and requires 2 or 3 days per week office or site-based presence
- Full time work with Jacobs is at 40 hours per week
- Regional and UK wide travel is required with this role
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying and either achieved or working towards MRICS / MCIOB accreditation, plus relevant experience _ the ability to secure SC level clearance would be advantageous
- Private practice or / consultancy experience with knowledge of relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations / planning and the Building Safety Act
- Experience in Surveying the condition of existing buildings, identifying and analysing defects including proposals for repair _ inspecting and providing advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites
- Other key skills in areas such as party wall agreements, report writing, tender / bid processes, producing specifications for project works and contract administration etc
