Business Performance
- Identify issues in a timely manner and propose and execute actions in response
- Working closely with our Finance support team to be on top of weekly financial performance
- Drive business improvement initiatives through innovative thinking and solutions
- Lead and drive operational excellence
- Management and reporting on indirect cost (relevant internal codes)
- Lead streamlining of client on-boarding while being key liaison between QRM, Operations and client handlers to unwind bottlenecks related to KYC/AML enabling prompt code release and revenue recognition while driving behavioural change.
- Develop an understanding on sales and pipeline and impact on future trading and respective reporting.
- Deliver Markets reporting on Pipeline and Wins providing insightful MI to leadership
- Provide Leadership with timely advice on business performance, with a consolidated view against our weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts , which has implications for future headcount needs and other commercial decisions.
- Improve sales effectiveness and enablement (e.g., Deal Review, BD time management)
- Lead workstream to understand relation with revenue recognition and impact on pull through
- Identify business risks and issue and develop and execute plans to mitigate
Transformation
- Identify and deliver transformation opportunities (technology and process improvement) to enable the business to operate more effectively.
- Drive behavioural change to embed commercial awareness in the business;
Other
- Miscellaneous operational, tactical, and strategic projects upon request. These vary year on year and include taking a role in the delivery of firm wide change projects in conjunction, where appropriate, with Global or Area Service Line initiatives
- Engage, liaise and provide support and insight to the Service Line Operations Lead on SL initiatives and change programmes, where appropriate.
In conducting their role, the Operations Senior Manager will demonstrate the following experience / attributes:
- Financially literate "finisher", who can demonstrate a highly commercial approach
- The ability to operate on a peer basis with the SL leadership team and ability to influence key stakeholders
- The ability to deliver high quality deliverables
- Confident and can bring fresh insight to business problems
- An ability to delegate and oversee execution across functional silos (QRM, ASA team HR, finance)
- Ability to build highest performing teams
- Pro-active, self-starter with ability to influence 360 degrees.
