Job Responsibilities
- Execute NetApp's privacy strategy and update public-facing privacy policies.
- Provide guidance on privacy compliance processes and procedures.
- Assist in reviewing and implementing privacy aspects of strategic deals.
- Monitor global tech industry and privacy legislation changes, recommending updates to the compliance program.
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and ensure global data transfer compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance of NetApp products and services.
- Draft and negotiate data protection provisions in contracts.
- Monitor compliance of third-party vendors and partners.
- Support NetApp's international artificial intelligence strategy and advise on evolving regulations.
- Support engagement with data subjects and data protection authorities.
Job Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 3-5 years post-qualification experience. Ideally you will have a strong background advising technology companies on responsible uses of data, privacy risk assessment, and privacy best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of GDPR and other relevant privacy laws and regulations in EMEA. Familiarity with and recent experience of US privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA, an advantage. Knowledge of APAC and/or LATAM privacy laws also desirable.
- CIPP, CIPM or similar privacy qualification preferred, but not essential.
- Strong organisational, analytical and critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising conflicting demands & priorities from multiple business partners, and making sound decisions on tight deadlines.
- Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Cork, Ireland is the preferred location.
