Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

The AI Research Lab at Bell Labs Solutions Research invites applications for intern positions in machine learning, mathematics, networking, modeling, and optimization. The Lab has a long tradition of excellence in research and currently consists of 80 staff members with expertise in algorithmic and computing sciences, network measurement and optimization, information theory, and machine learning. This internship is in the Modeling and Optimization Group in the AI Research Lab.

The successful applicants will work with our current team to conduct high-quality fundamental research and apply the findings to problems that arise in a wide range of Nokia applications. Likely focus areas include:

• Robot simulation and learning
• Network optimization
• 3D modeling and visual computing
• Large world models
