Job Description

Knowledge and experience of provisioning & activation, fulfillment, telecommunication protocols would be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake a variety of tasks including analysis, estimating, design, coding, testing and documentation
• Evaluation of technical feasibility
• Implementation of new features and defect fixing
• Writes and verifies code which adheres to the acceptance criteria
• Application of product development best practices
• Refactoring existing software and continuous improvement of code quality
• Automation of testing (CI/CD)
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication or related fields
• 1-2 years of experience in software development setup and telecommunications domain (ie. orchestration, slicing)
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Competence and Skills

• Experience in Java software development, scripting languages (Javascript, Jexl, shell)
• Experience in BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) is plus
• Know-how in Java technologies, frameworks, JUnit and IDEs such as Eclipse, Camunda
• Intermediate knowledge of Databases (MariaDB, Apache Cassandra)
• Intermediate knowledge Linux operating system, Cloud Services Platform (AWS, Azure) and Cloud-native containers/framework (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
• Understands the different network technologies and protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP, Rest
• Domain knowledge in Radio Access Network (RAN) Slicing and orchestration are advantageous
• Familiar with software engineering processes including version control (Git) build tools (Maven), automated testing (Jenkins, Postman/Newman) and release cycles
• Familiar with modern Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum/XP/Kanban
• Ability to work under pressure and take an analytical approach to problem solving
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to understand, explain and address problem quickly and effectively.
• Genuine interest in technology, software development as well as high levels of self-motivation
