We are looking for a talented, motivated leader with experience in building Scalable Cloud Services, Infrastructure and processes. As part of the IoT (Internet of Things) team you will be working on the next generation of IoT products. This role includes design and development of software solutions for next generation IoT products. Lead development of SW components that are scalable, available, and secure.

Engineer, Senior In This Role

• You will be responsible for leading, growing and mentoring a team of creative and passionate software engineers to design and develop next generation of IoT products.

• You will be providing technical leadership to the team and will be investing your time into solving hard problems, defining architecture, partnering, and ensuring high code quality, availability, scalability, and security of our services.

• You will be the technical leader in the team with deep and broad expertise across the complex scalable system.

• You will be providing balance between technical leadership and Strong business judgement to make the right decisions about technology and design choices.

• You will be working with Product Management & Customers to understand business requirements to drive the detailed design of the application and technical architecture components.

• You will be working closely with stakeholders to provide status, iterative releases, and make design recommendations throughout the development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4 - 6 yrs years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 3+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

• 3+ years of experience in leading & mentoring software development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with a modern server-side language such as Java, C#, Node or Python.

• Experience designing and building backend REST APIs with frameworks like Spring Boot, Rails or Django.

• Experience in React, JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery, JSON.

• Experience with Cloud services and applications such as SaaS, PaaS, IaaS.

• Expertise on the latest Cloud compute, load balancing and scaling, storage, networking, security and virtualization technologies with Cloud providers such as Azure (preferred), AWS and/or Google.

• Experience with PaaS technologies such as containers, container orchestration and scheduling, service registration / discovery and monitoring (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

• Experience working with SQL databases such as SQL Server, Postgres or MySQL.

• Experience working with NoSQL stores such as Cassandra or DynamoDB.

• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
