Job Summary

As a Trading Services Manager within our dynamic operations team, you will be at the forefront of operational excellence, supporting global trading activities. You will execute and monitor tasks to ensure accuracy and timeliness, reconcile trade discrepancies, resolve issues with counterparties, and maintain trade records in line with regulatory standards. This role provides an opportunity to collaborate with traders and internal teams to support trading strategies and enhance operational efficiency.

Job responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliation of trades, positions, and cash balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate and resolve any breaks or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution and settlement of trades across various financial instruments.
  • Monitor trade flows and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during the settlement process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to develop and enhance trade processing systems.
  • Monitor and manage operational risks associated with trade processing and settlement.
  • Implement controls to mitigate potential risks and ensure adherence to risk management policies.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. Some positions may consider equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Previous experience in trade operations, financial services, or a related field is often required. The level of experience may vary depending on the seniority of the position
  • Proficiency in trade management and settlement systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external counterparties
  • Ability to work collaboratively with traders, compliance teams, technology departments, and other stakeholders
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing market conditions and operational demands.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of solutions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Wealth Management or a related financial field can be advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in trade operations or a related field, particularly within a specific asset class (e.g., equities, ETF and MF's)
  • Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) for process automation and data management , added advantage.
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets, trading strategies, and the end-to-end trade lifecycle
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex operational challenges
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively negotiate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment, understanding cultural differences and adapting communication styles accordingly
