Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead user research efforts to deeply understand our customers’ needs and behaviors, informing our design and business decisions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create meaningful and data-driven experiences across all of Booking.com’s products, from accommodations to transportation.
Lead research projects to gather deep insights about user behaviors and preferences through a mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Translate research findings into actionable insights that inform product strategy, design decisions, and business direction.
Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate user-centered thinking throughout the development process.
Advocate for user needs by clearly communicating research findings and recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders.
Drive innovation by finding opportunities for new product and feature development based on user insights.
Qualifications & Skills:
7+ years of experience in quantitative research, data analysis, or a similar role, with a proven track record of leading complex research projects, ideally with a focus on consumer-facing products and services.
Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
Required data analysis experience using SQL or Python to interpret complex datasets, derive insights, and enable data-driven decision-making. Advanced knowledge of either SQL or Python is mandatory.
Lead complex quantitative research projects, applying statistical methods, mathematical modeling, and econometric techniques to analyze large datasets.
Proven ability to translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Strong collaboration influence, presentation, and negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across different functions.
A passion for understanding user needs and behaviors, with a focus on creating delightful experiences.
Experience working in fast-paced, international environments is a plus.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, or a related field.
