Your Career

Palo Alto Networks SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) group is looking for a seasoned and accomplished QA Manager with experience in validating networking & security features across different h/w platforms in the SD-WAN team. You will be part of a world-class software engineering team that works on various ground-breaking technologies in the SD-WAN area. You will work with a multi-functional team of engineers solving interesting problems.

Your Impact

• Manage, lead, mentor, and coach one or more engineering teams.
• Be accountable for the engineering quality of the subject matter areas your teams are responsible for.
• Constantly striving to improve productivity and efficiency, you will set high standards for all products being developed now and in the future
• Work closely with Dev, QA, SRE, DevOps, Product Line Managers, Program Managers, Engineering, Operations, Support and other business units to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products
• Work closely with team leads and architects to create good test strategy/planning that meets business requirements and aligns with best practices.
• Influence the development of new products and testing methods by reviewing Product Requirement Documents, Functional Specification documents, and test plans with a discerning eye for technical accuracy and consistency from inception to final delivery
• Ability to translate technology into business value
• Working in conjunction with management and colleagues, define, document, and demonstrate good software quality & automation engineering practices.
• Stay up-to-date on new technology changes and features to provide recommendations for process improvements and feature adoption
• Work in a fast-paced, collaborative and challenging environment with a focus on driving best practices in the Platform Team as well as groups outside the organization
• Facilitate project delivery from your teams, working in conjunction with product mana gers, development managers, analysts, business partners, and system administrators.
• Plan, drive and execute business-critical custom apps and networking features roadmap
• Facilitate production support affecting the system areas your teams are responsible for.
• Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans.
• Mentor and coach junior team members and drive best practices and knowledge across the various teams

Your Experience

• BE/B.tech technical degree or relevant tech qualification
• 16+ years of experience in networking products testing like SD-WAN, Routers, Switches & Firewalls and automation using Python.
• Minimum 2+ years of team management experience
• Experience in SD-WAN products is a plus
• Expertise in Test Planning, Strategy and Automation
• Excellent knowledge of L2/L3 protocols, testing methodologies and processes
• Excellent knowledge of Linux-based operating systems and traffic generator tools like Spirent, Ixia, BreakingPoint, Tcpreplay, hping, iperf, etc.
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills, including understanding protocols, analyzing cli output, debugging logs, capturing packets, etc.
• Good knowledge of standard TCP/IP protocols such as ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP & IPSec VPNs
• Good knowledge of Enterprise routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF & EIGRP, etc.
• Good knowledge of Networking features like Multicast, IPv6, DNS, NAT & DHCP
• Good knowledge of Performance/Scale characterization of networking products
• Excellent in building Project planning,JIRA dashboards and other test metrics
• Excellent project leadership skills with a strong track record of successfully delivering on commitments
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong architectural skills on the platform(s) your teams work on is a strong advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
