The rolling stock Engineer is responsible for supporting the technical delivery of Electrical Installation designs for rolling stock.
You will be working on industry-leading rolling stock modification projects within a global company, with clients throughout the rail sector.
You will work closely with our design managers, specialist engineers and your fellow design engineers to deliver engineering design solutions for industry-leading rolling stock modification projects, from initial concept work through detail design and on to support of installation on turnkey projects.
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree of relevant years’ experience. Member of appropriate professional institution(s) (Preferable)
- Minimum 5 years previous experience of design work of railway rolling stock (trains, passenger carriages etc)
- Experience of Siemens Solid Edge 3D CAD software
- Experience of Bentley Microstation CAD software
- Presentation skills;
- Good computer skills in MS Office and specialised software tools.
- Knowledge of the local environment, relevant industry, particularly UK Network Rail
