Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the firm's privacy classification framework, including glossaries and taxonomies.
- Ensure consistent data classification practices across all business functions.
- Oversee the documentation and communication of classification standards and guidelines.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of the classification framework to align with regulatory changes and business needs.
- Provide expert guidance and support to teams on data classification and privacy-related matters.
- Develop and deliver training programs to promote understanding and adherence to classification standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate classification standards into data management processes.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in privacy program design and implementation, with a focus on Privacy data classification.
- Strong understanding of privacy regulations and their implications for data classification.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing data classification frameworks in a large organization.
- Proven ability to advise on privacy requirements for new initiatives and regulatory developments.
- Knowledge of global privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA, and their application in a corporate setting.
- Ability to work independently and manage relationships across functions and regions.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in privacy at a financial institution.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPM or CIPP.
