As a Solution Architect (pre-sale) capacity, you will play a key role in assisting with scope development in collaboration with customers, identifying opportunities to upsell additional scope when feasible, and supporting the preparation of estimates and proposals. You will also offer valuable support to account managers, customer acquisition representatives, and business consultants by coordinating sales process tasks for larger opportunities. Additionally, your technical insights and knowledge of industry trends will be instrumental in enhancing sales efforts and driving success in sales pursuits.
Responsibilities
- Primary relationship is to support the sales professionals in winning opportunities; (i.e., providing Whiteboard support) and determining technical components related to customer’s mission critical factors; Provides market feedback to marketing and sales professionals.
- Supports both sales professionals and customers during the technical requirement definition and solution development sales process steps.
- Participates in the creation of the customer technical roadmap; customers include both internal and external.
- Works as a team player with many sales professionals in assigned geography. Acts as a resource in support of the sale to address the customer’s technical and application requirements.
- Provides coaching to sales professionals as it relates to their assigned application specialty.
- Achieves orders, margin, and growth for assigned areas of expertise within region.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- Seven+ years of experience
- Experience in Automation Control
- Experience of proposal and presentation about technical concepts or offerings to customer is preferred
- Positioning technical features/ functions into value for the customer
- Experience in technical writing and preparation of proposals
- Can clearly articulate technical value and demonstrate how solutions map to a customer’s needs and drivers
- Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication
- Intermediate or higher English communication preferred
- Ability to translate customers’ business drivers and their organizational needs into a technical solution
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects/ opportunities at one time
We Prefer
- Preference will be given to those with qualifications related to mechanical equipment control and refrigeration and air conditioning
- Understanding of the control sequence for mechanical equipment (e.g. the entire cooling system including chiller)
