What You’ll Do

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced leader to craft and execute the Collab engineering strategy, lead, build and grow the Collaboration specialist engineering team and partner in driving the Collaboration business for the largest piece of our business.

Set Collaboration Engineering Strategy: Work with the team, Theater Leadership and BE Leadership to define the initiatives that will optimize profitable growth and market share gain for US Commercial. Accelerate technology migration within US Commercial demonstrating creative components of the solution portfolio.

Set Collaboration SE and TSA Enablement Priorities: Develop and execute training plan that will ensure US Commercial TSA team is adequately trained to effectively drive the Collaboration portfolio and associated control points, with an emphasis on developing skills required for Horizons 1 and 2. Ensure enablement of Sales Teams and Partners to understand and position the technology and the impact that the solution will have on the customer's business outcome.

Define Technical Decision Maker Demand Generation: Define priorities, events and resources that will accelerate important Collaboration initiatives.

Strategic Engagement: Work with BE, Finance, Strategy and Planning and Sales teams to resolve strategic challenges that arise as a result of our rapid transformation. Establish partnerships and credibility with senior business and technology executives within Cisco.

BE Interlock: Execute on the defined the BE interlock process to maintain alignment between the field and the BEs, and to ensure that field feedback is accurately and effectively communicated to the America’s leadership. Provide innovative leadership and customer insight to leadership to help adapt and customize solutions as needed.

Customer and Partner Engagement:Regularly interact with customers and partners in an ad-hoc context and within the CXC. Cultivate a culture of seamless collaboration with partners and customers.

Lead the Specialist Engineering and Architecture team

Define and drive specific cultures to attract and retain the best specialist engineering talent in the industry. Coaching, mentoring, career development and career path within and outside the direct team. Establish and execute lightweight processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness to TSA teams.

Business Partner: Optimize organization structure (always happening) in partnership with Sales Leadership aligned to business priorities to improve bookings in minimize operational expenses. Ability to clearly articulate issues, challenges and gaps both technically from a business perspective and in regards to people resources.

Who You Are

Have seven or more years of proven experience in collaboration engineering and team leadership and carry a real passion for IP communications and the ground-breaking power it brings to digital businesses.

A love of interacting with customers, peers in leadership, product managers and sellers of all kinds. You enjoy defining and executing the strategy for large teams. Ability to seek out and tackle complex, high-impact problems. A lead by example approach and always from the front. Effective engagement with leaders at all levels within Cisco Sales, Engineering and Product Management.

Requires a BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent with 7+ years collaboration engineering, technical sales and industry experience.

3+ years leadership experience. MBA or equivalent preferred. Collaboration CCIE preferred.
