As a Solutions Engineer, you'll play a part in sales cycles, defining solutions meeting the customers' requirements. You'll be both the customers' trusted advisor and technical expert. Collaborating with sales partners you'll facilitate product adoption and account growth with a winning mindset for customers and Akamai.

As a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with customers to understand their business goals and how to scope the appropriate set of deliverables
  • Enabling partners to market, sell, implement and support Akamai solutions to customers in a self-sustaining manner
  • Conducting training and enablement workshops for a partner's sales, pre-sales and architect teams
  • Tracking account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our customer's needs
  • Building trusted relationships with customers' decision-makers to articulate Akamai's value proposition and build future revenue opportunities
  • Conducting feedback sessions with local presales to understand the challenges partner personnel face with current opportunities
  • Participating in the partner quarterly business reviews to obtain visibility and feedback from the partner
  • Representing needs of partners with product, marketing & services teams to drive partners' success

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 7 years experience in a customer/partner facing role such as, technical pre-sales, account/project management, or consulting
  • Have 3+ years of experience in Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and Network Segmentation
  • Have some knowledge or understanding of Computing (IaaS), Web/API Security or zero trust security (CKA, AWS, SAA, GCP, PCA, CISSP etc)
  • Have good knowledge of security, such as WAAP(WAF), DDoS, Firewall, and VPN
  • Have good understanding of and experience working within a channel go-to-market strategy
  • Have good understanding of Cloud Security, solutions, and products
  • Possess Japanese fluency and business proficiency in English
  • Be able to effectively present complex and technical material to varying audiences virtually and in-person
